Well if the rumored deal of Artest to Houston is true, that should open up a better S&T market for Smith.

teams looking for a 3 (or even a 4) had Artest and Deng on the radars as well as Smith - with those two now off the market - along with the already traded Mike Miller and Richard Jefferson - and with Marion expected to stay put - and the Lakers holding onto Odom - Smith becomes even more attractive - basic supply and demand - supply be shrinkin'.

I don' t know if that translates into anything - I still think the qualifying offer is the most likely.
