hussamga
We have Horford day to day, out tonight. Smith is out. Washington has Haywood and Arenas out. Daniels is day to day Their big's haven't been producing for them and their scoring has revolved around Butler/Jamison and Young off the bench. McGee has been somewhat exciting to watch off the bench with his atheleticism. Lets see if the hawks wake up from their defensive stupor.

coachx
I am hoping to see Law get more minutes and for him to be aggressive and more consistent in the minutes he gets. He proved in the 4th quarter last night just how good he can be. If he can break down the defense then our bigs can get some good looks inside. Solo and ZaZa can't really do much without the PG setting the table for them. Not to mention how Law's aggressive perimeter defense is by far the best on the team. Packfill
I just heard that Zaza will be available but not starting tonight and that Daniels is out. Talk about two MASH units! At least it is even. No injury excuse for the Hawks tonight - so if they can't beat a 1-7 team . . .

LOL_Hawks
I think teams are beginning to realize the formula for beating the shorthanded Hawks: -Shoot at will. -Stick any bigman in the post for a potential rebound. -Defend the 3. hussamga
Interesting lineup by washington, their coach is getting little too creative..starts with small lineup and comes out with 3bigs, Joe Johnson now on Blatche... Guess we havent hit that level of desperation yet...
crimedog
This has the potential to be a high scoring game...
LOL_Hawks
Both teams are on pace for 100. Washington sucks at defense normally, and our defense is on the bench. This is gonna be a barnburner.
hussamga
We are definately playing down to our competition tonight imo. But looks to be a good individual stats game for both teams. Flip looks out of it too..

Flip looks out of it too.. I honestly think its less of a case of "playing down" and more of a case of just being painfully shorthanded...
exodus
Solomon is just so weak. He can't hold onto the ball at all.
LOL_Hawks
This is depressing to watch. I can understand us being ravaged by injury in the post...but it's just depressing. I mean, they were looking bang-bang fantastic, and now we're losing to the Wizards who are also banged up. Depressing is the best word.
oiatlhawksfan
Our we gonna be the first team to win 6 straight to start the season, then lose 6 straight?
hussamga
I think we already hit some statistic like that, here it is from espn daily dime yesterday night. With a loss to the Pacers on Tuesday, the Hawks have lost four straight after starting the season 6-0. The only other team in NBA history to win at least six in a row to start a season immediately followed by a losing streak of four or more games was the Philadelphia Warriors in 1960. They won their first nine games and then lost four straight. We gotta drive and draw fouls, the open jumper and spacing will be there all night. Also make sure to not allow other wizards outside of jamison/butler to get going like stevenson/young. Joe/Marvin looking to have great statistical nights along with butler/jamison. Looks like Pachulias shoulder patch doesnt have the magical effect Jamal Crawford's does! I think we are playing him out of necessity. crimedog
Solomon is just so weak. He can't hold onto the ball at all. Even still, he does some nice things in limited minutes. I like when Zaza tries on the D glass.
DrReality
Injury updates Both Horford and Smith worked out on their own Thursday. Smith ran on the treadmill for the first time, though he isn’t expected to resume practice or game action until after Thanksgiving. Horford had treatment on his right ankle and did some on-court work and shooting drills alongside Zaza Pachulia. Horford said he’ll see how he feels at shootaround [Friday morning] and will try and play against the Bobcats.

Im not expecting Smoove back until December. Right in time for his birthday and for a month where we have 10 home games and 5 road games, 4 in a row, 3 in a row against those Texas teams
