SLAM Magazine... January 2009?

I recently subscribed to the SLAM magazine around September. I got my first magazine yesterday in the mail, and it says February 2009 issue. Why do they go two months in advance? And I wanted to collect these magazines, so I wanted the January 2009 one, but I couldn't even find it online. Did they mess up and accidentally jump two months ahead or did I just not find the right issue?

SLAM used to only make about 10 issues a year. They said they were going to make one monthly a while back but I don't think they have. But, the issue you receive in the mail will always be a month or two ahead. Not sure why they future date them like that.

My subscription ran out a few months ago and I couldn't renew it due to a lack of funds. I know, that's sad considering it's like $12 a year, but hey, I'm a broke college student.

I'll definitely be renewing soon, though. I have every issue since about 98, which is at least 100 magazines.
