coachx
Could there be a better team to end the losing streak against ? 1. The Clippers have lost 11 in a row 2. Kaman will not play 3. Randolph will not play 4. B. Diddy will not play The Hawks have to approach this game like they do the freaking Boston Celtics. A win vs. a team like this is very important. A loss to a Clippers team on a 11 game losing streak could eally fracture the psyche of the team. Please don't let Al Thorton go for 40 on us again ! We have yet to prove that we know how to step on the throats of teams that we should beat. I am very nervous about that game.

Plainview1981
Have you ever attempted to be positive about anything ? I'll be positive when there is a reason to be positive. When the team wins PLAYING GOOD BALL. This team is capable of doing almost anything... Good or bad. Gray Mule
When your starting five sleepwalk thru the first quarter, it doesn't matter who the opponent is or how many starters they have missing or their record. With their reserves starting, wouldn't it be refreshing if our's started also. We read where Bibby and JJ are tired. and, from their recent games, that seems to be true. JJ especially is being "picked on" by every opponent. Their game plan is simple: Keep the pressure on JJ at all times. Make him work - - Hard - - every second that he's on the floor. Send double teams on defense and then try to force the plays right thru him on the other end so that he is always having to play tough defense. Gets tiring, doesn't it. So, let him sit. Let the starting five rest to open the game. Instruct the "new" starting five, run their legs off. Have them with their tongues hanging out when you come off the floor. They might get buried? So? It happens to our current starting five. Not once, not two times. It ALWAYS happens to them. Game after game, our starters are sleepwalking. Maybe they just need to start the game on the bench, so that they can catch up on their rest and be ready to play when they do get in the game. Radical? Sure. But, Hawks are as close to desperation as one can get. Get buried tonight and watch the Hawk's ship sink. :no-no:
TheTruth
I actually dont believe that is such a bad idea. If there ever was a time to rest some starters for the beginning of the game, this would be a great time to do it. Of course, you wanna win every game, but its not like the starters have been willing us to convincing wins lately. Something needs to change, and even if it is for one game, this could be a pick-me-up for the team. I tell you one thing, if the starters do start like I expect, and they lose, I better not hear excuses. If we lose to this team in that condition by sleepwalking, poor coaching, and otherwise careless and immature play, this team is in for a huge swoon. DrReality
We need to turn it up and win this one convincingly. Would love to see the guys off the bench come in and hit the three.
bronnt
As we saw last game, the starters stumbled out of the gate a bit, and our offense finally started clicking once some reserves were rotated in. This is a bit of a disturbing trend. The starters might be getting complacent and aren't pushing as hard to get good shots, and the lack of focus is causing them to miss the shot opportunities that they're getting. It takes a burst of energy from the bench players to kick the team into gear. Of course, Soloman is trying to do things on offense but seldom does anything positive offensively.
