Traceman
Rookie of the Year Kevin Durant and O.J. Mayo, a favorite for this season's award, highlight the field for a H-O-R-S-E competition during All-Star Saturday night. Atlanta Hawks guard Joe Johnson is the other competitor in TNT's special event, the network announced Tuesday. Johnson will play in the All-Star Game, while Durant and Mayo were selected for the rookie challenge. JJ really is the Rodney Dangerfield of the NBA, at least in the eyes of the media. He is the only All Star of the 3 yet he is reduced to being the "other competitior." http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/allstar2009/...tory?id=3896766
Moderators AHF Posted February 11, 2009 Moderators Report Share Posted February 11, 2009 That is awful. 3 time consecutive all-star and 20-something star ROY - No all-star appearances Possible ROY - Not close to an all-star Which one of these should get "other" status? Arguably none of them, but if you are going to do one it should absolutely by OJ Mayo.
buckeye242424
Ahhh..I think it's cool. You're speaking of just one journalist. I wouldn't say JJ gets no respect. Durant, Mayo, and JJ playing HORSE outside...I'm looking forward to it. Just remember. Woody burnt out Joe so he could be that "all-star" for the team and francise. Thanks Woody, burnt out our star for a game of Horse...hahaha
