HAWKS1986
Acie was hurt. Speedy in a suit. Woody needed to trust Mario with a few more minutes in the second half, and sit Bibby and let either Flip run the point or Joe. Tony Parker getting 40 is just too much..that should NOT happen! Parker was just too comfortable tonight.. Bibby get busted open, but Parker comes out without a scratch... SOMEBODY NEEDED TO ADMINISTER A hard foul to parker... Manu did this to the Hawks a few years ago..

This was a game I thought we could win....Dang.

Manu did this to the Hawks a few years ago.. Woody really messed up tonight. Flip should have had 40 minutes tonight. Really, Mike shouldn't even play Mike against good teams because it seems like he is never productive against them. Josh Smith was flat out terrible. Josh is the new Darius Miles. Such a poor offensive game and his impact on the defensive end has been nowhere to be found this season.

He played awesome. I say start Flip He is not a pg nor would he have stopped Parker tonight either. His defined role is perfect for him. Starting him is not going to help us. Which means he is in a total comfort zone.

Plainview1981
Mike should be coming off the bench. His time as a starter in the NBA is over. He's more of a liability than he is a help now.
tgunzz
This loss was 100% on Woody and the coaching staff. Bibby maybe guarded Parker 4 times tonight. Joe, Flip, or Mario were the ones assigned to be destroyed by Parker tonight. But it wasn't their individual defense so much as it was Woody insane switching defenses that allowed Parker to win this game. This team is not build to have a switch at the PG spot - particullarly with a quick, penetrating PG. We don't have a defensive stopper at center to clean up the mess from this pnr switching. Everyone of the assigned targets(joe, flip, etc) switched with a big when parker ran the pnr and he made a play every time. It really wasn't parker being superman, but us not being smart or adaptive on defense. Mike Glenn said as much after the game. The real problem is not only that Woody seeing his team get abused this way, didn't make any changes at halftime, it's that he hasn't recognized that this has been happening all year. And it will continue to happen. Woody, that sound you continue to hear is your head banging against the same wall it has all year. Time to make a turn and maybe banging on a door or something. bumpyphish1
OMG in garbage time TP absolutely blew by a freezed up Bibby for an easy two. I felt bad for Mike. He looked puzzled. NO DEFENSE WHATSOEVER.
HAWKS1986
Mike should be coming off the bench. His time as a starter in the NBA is over. He's more of a liability than he is a help now. Woody has to seriously consider limiting Bibby's minutes especially with the playoffs coming up. Against Miami this year in three games, Bibby has been terrible and non-existent. Flip might not be a natural PG, but he should get a spot start and/or increased minutes and we definitely need to see Mario get more minutes as well. Josh Smith missed dunks, layups, free throws and poor defense. He should shoulder alot of the blame for this loss aswell. He is barely more trust worthy than what Darius Miles used to be. TruJerz
Woody doesnt have the guts to bring Bibby off the bench. Bring Avery Johnson to ATL cmon tone lol not many coaches in the NBA would start Flip Murray over Mike Bibby. look, I know how well Flip is playing and how "old" you think Bibby is but cmon, Flip is not gonna start over Bib and he shouldnt. Bibby may not be playing better right now but Flip is a scorer and doesnt really look to pass. And it doesnt really matter who starts and who doesnt..its who plays the most minutes right??
