If the Hawks do lay two more eggs in these playoffs, then Woodson will be fired.

The ASG fired Hartly after an 0-6 start, so they do pay attention.

The other issue, is that if the team does lay two more eggs, season ticket sales will drop, significantly.

A new coaching staff can keep interest in the team.

New coaches can be used as marketing tools as well as improving the on-floor product.

The Hawks are just too close to being a good team to let this group stagnate with Woodson. Plus, they aren't going to attract any descent FAs with Woodson. Who in their right mind would come to play under him, if there were other options?

Is this wishful thinking? Probably, but I just can't see how keeping Woodson could be justified when his lack of coaching skills have been abundantly on display during these playoffs.
