HAWKS1986
If Marvin can come out of his shell and have that one shining moment (game) that exposes his potential for everyone to see and provides the type of impact needed, the Hawks would be viewed very differently. Marvin may not like contact, but he is going to have to show off his three-point ability and if he is able to hit five or six three-pointers in one game along with exuding confidence, Coach Mike Brown will be having nightmares. And if Josh commits himself to staying in the blocks and utilizing his athleticism along with his developing Kevin McHale-like post moves, he can draw more fouls, make more impact plays and opposing coaches may be thinking to themselves, Uh-oh, he finally gets it.. Hey, if Marv can hit six threes, and if Smoove can produce buckets with McHale like finesse, we can beat anyone!

FrankWhite
I agree. If Josh can become a top 5 all time power forward, we're all set.
bronnt
The problem is that Smoove is the one who will try to go 7-7 on threes, and Marvin is hurt.
NJHAWK
If I could figure out how to play like Michael Jordan circa 1986 I'll bet I wouldnt have to show up for my job no more.

coachx
If Marvin can come out of his shell and have that one shining moment (game) that exposes his potential for everyone to see and provides the type of impact needed, the Hawks would be viewed very differently. So if Marvin channells his inner Larry Bird and if Smith channells his inner Kevin McHale we win the game ? Thats all it takes ? Just playing around.... I agree with the premise. Keep Josh in the paint and hope Marvin shakes off a ton of rust and can still shoot on a bad wrist. Is it is his right wrist that is hurt ? I am thinking it has to be his shooting wrist that is hurt to keep him out so long. He could shoot with limited mobility in his left wrist, ya' know. DrReality
I just hope MW can play some meaningful minutes. Not hoping for all the 3's.

Joker
Kevin McHale was so skilled, it's like saying if McHale had Smith athleticism he would be.... Not fair to Smith. If only JJ could xxx he would MJ or Kobe type question.
