Wurider05
That has to be some kind of NBA record right!! He shouldn't get a pass. We are 7-8 with him on the playoffs. All 8 of our losses have been blowouts!!!!!

TheTruth
I didnt know that. However, it is not totally surprising. If we are going to change this series, that trend will HAVE to reverse.

Premium Member Atlantaholic Posted May 6, 2009 Premium Member Report Share Posted May 6, 2009 How were those playoff losses with the few coaches before Woody? I don't know but I'm pretty sure non of the coaches responsible for those other losses is still employed by an NBA team.

swolehawk2
I think the team is hurt and tired, so when missed shots or tunovers lead to huge leads, they coast thinking they will need the energy for next game. That is what appears to happen anyway.
JackB1
It's the nature of our team. We are either great or horrible. I am getting tired of these blowout losses. We played a great 1st half and then Cleveland adjusted and we didn't. Surprise, surprise. Smith scored 17 pts sin the 1st half and then just seemed to give up. I think the Hawks are just happy to be in round 2 and find it hard to get motivated in Cleveland where they know they have 4% chance of winning. Will be interesting to see if Phillips makes that big difference for us again.

DrReality
I think the flap that is coming out now between JJ and Woody is a good thing and will hopefully spawn some changes for the next year. I agree Woody will stay, but there have to be some changes to the assistants and/or their roles. I think the flap indicates that there is a lack of confidence in Woody's offense by our 'star.'
