Admin capstone21 Posted June 26, 2009 Admin Report Share Posted June 26, 2009 He is a score first pg. We needed a pg that passes. I can't believe Minny screwed us. Lawson was perfect. I wish we took Maynor.
Admin
I like how Bilas described him as a guy that he hasn't seen anyone be able to guard him or stay in front of him. He looked like a pretty solid passer in the videos they showed also and with that huge wingspan he fits in the mold of long and athletic.
Cwell
woody's offense is useless to a real pg
DJ_Money
Maynor? He's a guy who, due to the lack of talent on the mid-major level, pounded the ball 90% of the time. He's not different that Teague.
AnnArborHawk
I'm wondering who on this team they count on to pass the ball. I guess we're going to be seeing Woody's famous ISO for a few more years. Maybe now we just have a couple extra guys who can execute it.
DeacKillsaDevil
He also doesn't move well without the ball. By move well I mean move at all. He also DISAPPEARED off the face of the planet when the team needed him the most in the postseason. After watching every minute he played the past two years, I didn't want him on my NBA team. But, he is a Hawk now and I will root for him and the team do well.
Premium Member mrhonline Posted June 26, 2009 Premium Member Report Share Posted June 26, 2009 Yeah, he's going to have to learn to move off the ball to be successful in Atlanta.

emeans
This kid has a very high ceiling. He is very very talented. We shouldn't have a problem putting points on the board at all. I like the pick..he was the best we could have gotten at 19.

What is Minnesota doing, taking 3 point guards. That is ridiculous. Did I miss a trade? Hawk88
Premium Member mrhonline Posted June 26, 2009 Premium Member Report Share Posted June 26, 2009 (edited) Teague is just 21. Law is 24.5. That's an upgrade, if you ask me. Edited June 26, 2009 by mrhonline
Pride1190
I see Teague as a guy who can drive the ball...something Bibby has not done very well. Now the next thing we need is a big guy!!!

I'll get off your back when you get off Woody's back.
Guest
I love the pick....best we could do...only other guy I wanted here was Ty Lawson..but I guess he's going to Denver...Teague is an awesome pick..huge upgrade over Law..I guarantee Woody will treat him differently and give him more time..Law was passive Teague is decisive. Love it Love it Love it.
