APE
As you can see by my name,I'm a UCLA Fan so yes I'm a homer....ok about 8-9 Million per year yes? No? Yes?
MaceCase
Because you are a Bruin homer you're fine with paying more money to Trevor than Charlie V. got for less than half the production? Man these playoff runs where guys are on TV. People just say to themselves "hey I saw him hit a three in the finals we should throw 9 mil at him." Besides all that he's a fine player but all we have to offer him is the MLE and word is he turned that offer down to stay with the Lakers.

Wurider05
You see what the LAkers are willing to give him. CrawfulToCrawesome said it best you see these guys on tv and want to throw the bank at them. Ariza is pretty much a glorified garbage player. You want to give him a million dollars for every point he averaged!!!

Traceman
For the MLE, don't you think he'd choose LA over Atlanta? For the MLE, don't you think Chillz would choose Atlanta over Milwaukee? He must be considering their MLE as that is all they have to offer. People make some strange decisions when they feel they are being underappreciated. HUGE difference.

I think Chillz wants nothing to do with Atlanta anymore. There is bad blood at this point or it appears that way from the tone of his comments about the Hawks since he has been gone. Sund offered him more then other team in the NBA...........yet b/c we did not take some crappy sign and trade deals, from teams over the cap, so Chillz could make some more money he is mad at us. He is blinded from seeing both perspectives............yet people call him smart and mature.

Isn't that roughly 4x how much he'd have pocketed in the NBA? I don't think the Greece thing was about respect at all.
drzachary
His 3 year contract was worth $20 million post tax, so he made like $7 mill. Ah.. still more than he would have seen here.
Moderators AHF Posted July 2, 2009 Moderators Report Share Posted July 2, 2009 His 3 year contract was worth $20 million post tax, so he made like $7 mill. But that is over $10 million pre-tax here in the US and doesn't include the other perks of being a Euro star like house, car, and other things paid for by the team. No one was remotely competitive with that offer and no one will be remotely competitive with it for the next two years.
