HawkItus
If you follow BS on Page 2 you know he regularly short changes the Hawks. Whatever he predicts our record to be, we usually go 8-10 games over. This year he has us at 44-wins and Chicago finishing ahead of us at 49. Amazing. Can't wait for his March column saying who new yadda yadda, with some faint praise and sideways props. PREDICTIONS Eastern Conference 1. Boston, 62-20 2. Orlando, 60-22 3. Cleveland, 59-23 4. Premium Member niremetal Posted October 23, 2009 Premium Member Report Share Posted October 23, 2009 This year he has us at 44-wins and Chicago finishing ahead of us at 49. Phew. For a second there, I thought you were gonna say that he had predicted that we would win 50 games - in which case, of course, we would actually headed back to the lottery. I'm glad to see he predicted Portland to do so poorly though - that means my second-favorite team is a lock to win 60.

I find his writing to hit home on all levels - pop culture, analysis, and very humorous. Even pre-ordered his new book, which I can't wait to read. BUT, he's always hard on the Hawks. I think the playoffs a couple of years ago put a scare in him with his beloved Celts...and he's always had a sore spot for JJ too...prolly because he never panned out with the Celtics and now he's a star.
