TheNorthCydeRises
While it doesn't surprise me that this hasn't been brought up yet, seeing how half of the fan base is fickle about JJ and doubt his status as a "star", there is a possibility that he could start in the All-Star game. Iverson was voted in as a starter. His absence leaves a void at the other guard spot. If Woody were coaching, there would be no doubt that JJ would start alongside D-Wade. I haven't seen where Van Gundy has named who will replace AI as a starter, but the only guard choices are JJ, Rondo, and Rose. If you determine it by who got the most votes and most exciting- Rose If you determine it by who is the best pure PG - Rondo If you determine it by who is the best overall guard and senority - JJ So if Van Gundy hasn't named a starter yet, it will be interesting to see if he goes with the 4-time All-Star as a starter, instead of the first timers. TheNorthCydeRises
Essentially, Van Gundy could go with a super big lineup, and start out the game with Lebron playing point forward G - Wade G - JJ Point F - Lebron F - KG C - Howard
blissful1153
On Twitter they said Van Gundy has picked him to start.

Plainview1981
http://www.ajc.com/sports/atlanta-hawks/johnson-to-make-first-301647.html Joe deserved it over AI anyway.
Admin capstone21 Posted February 13, 2010 Admin Report Share Posted February 13, 2010 A.I. shouldn't start anyway. AI should not be in the league let alone on the all star team.
TheNorthCydeRises
I hadn't checked the status of this until now. Definitely congrats to JJ. He definitely deserved it.
spotatl
Now we just have to hope it doesn't work well having JJ and Wade playing next to each other. You don't want them having too much fun out there.
uga2006
A.I. shouldn't start anyway. Yea it was a joke he was even there. Another reason why fans shouldn't vote. Majority don't watch half the players outside Kobe,Lebron,Wade, etc.
BusBoyIsBack
Pretty cool because now he should get some decent PT and have a chance to get introduced with the starters.
