JJ in Feb

Coming into this game JJ was averaging 23 ppg shooting 50%, 47% from 3 in February. Tonight he had 28/6/6 shooting 12 of 19.

JJ has played well all season. The difference now is that he's scorching hot on his three's now and was ice cold on his three's in the early part of the year.

Yep . . . that's the only difference. He's playing far better this season than he has in the past 2 years here.

The reason for that is minutes. He actually looks "fresh" at this point in the season for the first time in a few seasons. He doesn't have to carry the scoring load every single night and is getting better, more consistent support from Horf, Josh, and Crawford. I hope Woody can get his minutes down even further before the Playoffs because "fresh" JJ looks a heck of a lot better than that guy who scored ~16ppg in the Playoffs last season. The addition of crawford has also eleiminated those hard double teams JJ used to see every night as well. Iso Joe looks a lot better when it involves JJ in a one-on-one matchup with a smaller SG.
