Premium Member Diesel Posted March 2, 2010 Premium Member Report Share Posted March 2, 2010 I was just thinking about the opportunity for us to get 1st in our division. It depends on Orlando... Here's the teams that Orlando have lost to since January: Chicago Washington (2) Indy Cleveland Toronto Portland Dallas Denver Lakers Memphis New Orleans Here are the games They have left: Wed 03 vs Golden State Fri 05 @ New Jersey Sun 07 vs LA Lakers Tue 09 vs LA Clippers Thu 11 vs Chicago Sat 13 @ Washington Sun 14 vs Charlotte Wed 17 vs San Antonio Thu 18 @ Miami Mon 22 @ Philadelphia Wed 24 @ Atlanta Fri 26 vs Minnesota Sun 28 vs Denver Thu 01 @ Dallas Fri 02 @ San Antonio Sun 04 vs Memphis Wed 07 vs Washington Fri 09 vs New York Sun 11 @ Cleveland Mon 12 @ Indiana Wed 14 vs Philadelphia So in my opinion.... Orlando has 8 more losses coming. Therefore for us to win the race to 1st place in the division... We can only lose 5 GAMES...

I don't see that happening. Orlando needs to get in a late season funk for us to pull off winning the division.

MVP23
Either way, we'll get second or third, end up playing Orlando in the second round, and get swept. I disagree. If we get second, we will at least win one game in the ATL you would think.

You guys are amazing. That Orlando team is not that special. So they have beaten us three times so far. We will win the next one and we have the horses to beat them in a series. First off will Carter make the party? Secondly, we're starting to catch our momentum. Come playoff time, if we have the homecourt on Orlando... Mark this down... We're going to the ECF!!! RedDawg#8
I dont care what Orlando does. From here on out, we need to win the games we are supposed to POINT BLANK. After Looking at the remaining schedule, I did a quick jot of games we should win based on record alone and came up with 18: 11 games vs non playoff teams 2 games vs Toronto 2 games vs Milwaukee 1 game vs Miami 2 games vs. Charlotte the only teams left we face with a better or close record are CLE twice (1 HOME 1 AWAY) and LAL, SA, and ORL all in Atlanta. We are due to win 1 game against each of those squads this season. The remaining schedule is favorable and there is no reason we cant go on a HUGE run if our team plays the way we can. BusBoyIsBack
I just can't picture us winning 3 more games than Orlando the rest of the way. And obviously if there is any chance of that happening we need to beat them head to head.
