Premium Member Vol4ever Posted May 6, 2010 Premium Member Report Share Posted May 6, 2010 It's that simple. We either attack the rim or we are we are toast again tonite. Joe and Craw have to attack the rack period and put pressure on the defense. We can get Howard in foul trouble and if he don't defend we will get layups. It's really that simple. TheNorthCydeRises
Acutally, we may lose if we do that. The guards are going to have to start making some jumpers. Neither JJ nor Crawford are guys who go all the way to the rim. Smoove and Horford definitely need to try to attack. But if we can't make jumpers, we're going to lose anyway. And the onus is not only on JJ and Crawford, busy like Bibby and Marvin need to hit their open jumpers as well. The Hawks can't start doing things that they aren't good at, simply because it worked for other teams. The Hawks have to be who they are. Make some damn open jumpshots. JackB1
The Hawks always live and die with their guards. Joe and Craw go 3-12 again and we lose.
dhawk
It would help if Horford would hit that mid-range jumper of his, it seem like he missed everyone of them in game 1. No way he repeats that in game 2, if he is hitting that, then maybe Howard would leave paint to defend and we might get an offensive board or two. But I agree, guys need to hit their shots. I will agree that they need to hit some jumpers but disagree that if you dont put pressure on the defense inside you lose. We gotta shoot from free throws, that is the way you win in the playoffs. Guest
They have to play inside..it does not neccessarily mean that they have to shoot, it can be a drive to hoop to make a pass.
