As previously believed, ESPN radio in Atlanta is reporting the #Cavs are close to sending Shaq to the Hawks for Marvin Williams in S&T.

Whats the latest today? I read we aren't interested and now I see this. Too many mixed reports.

This was posted before the articles came out about us not being interested. As far as I know there isn't anything that's changed since that so it "appears" that we're not interested right now ... which of course means that a S&T or a straight up contract offer and signing is imminent!

this would have been a horrible move

i'm fine with shaq as a FA with part/all of our MLE, but not trading marvin for him

there is a reason that he's not getting mle from ANY team...or even a smaller offer from teams

we'd be fools to outbid ourselves by paying him 7-8mil/year for 2 years and losing our starting sf in the process when it appears like no other team is gonna give him much more than the minimum at this point
