exodus
The lack of production from the 2 spot is keeping the Knicks in the game. It is starting to get pretty annoying, 7-23 from the field for JJ/Crawford. Why hasn't Jordan seen the floor? If these two guys are off it makes sense to give him a look. exodus
Nice to see Horford looking for his shot in the 4th. With JJ struggling and Smith in foul trouble they definitely need him to score.
benhillboy
I'd say Jamal got it together. Looks like the 6th Man of the Year again. Shooting a little extra in practice/ shoot-around and coaching/ franchise encouragement is all he needs. Just wind him up and sit him on the floor. He'll go. tremor
Jamal and Al kept safe win margin in 4th, Mo was spark in third. JJ has been bad and Zaza just horrible.
HalfHawk
The NBA should really consider conducting eye exams on the refs. The two ghost calls late in the game on Josh could've been disastrous for us.
exodus
JJ 3-15 from the field, 0-6 from 3. Nice to see Crawford turn it around in the 4th. Bibby isnt good for much but he has definitely been shooting the 3 well. Another strong performance from Smith/Horford.
benhillboy
Good road win, albeit against a ghastly team, no matter how many they've won in a row. Would've liked to see Jordan, though. Only 6 team turnovers? Awesome. How many games has 120+ been the top performer this year? 1, maybe 2? Gray Mule
:line dance: Our hero! Our multi million dollar man! Our All Star! Took 2 free throws. Made 1 of them! Took 9 shots inside the 3 pt line - hit 3- - Wow!! 33.3% took 6 shots from behind the arch . Missed 6 shots from behind the arch! Our hero! Our multi million dollar man! Our all Star! :line dance: Not only that, the Hawks won! Stopped a 5 game winning streak for the Knickerbockers. And, Josh Smith got a special foul call when he had a clean block and the opponent was not even touched. We know. They showed it over and over from different angles. Marvin had a great game. He occasionally has one of these and today qualifies! Great bench play!! GO HAWKS!! :dancing18:
Premium Member BrazilianHawk Posted November 27, 2010 Premium Member Report Share Posted November 27, 2010 Not here to defend Joe and his shooting woes, but ha managed to help the team in other ways. 10 rebounds, 7 assists, no turnovers. Not too shabby.
DJlaysitup
...Marvin had a great game. He occasionally has one of these and today qualifies! Yep G-M...Marvin came with early energy and was even getting rebounds and a loose ball or two. Impressive. He had a good matchup this game and could of scored more, except we never attack matchups and JJ and Craw have to get their shots no matter what. Oh well - we have struggled against the Knicks in tha past so this is a good road win. We controlled the whole game except for their Ref-assisted run they had.

gutz
Joe is a complete bust and probably our 4th best player on the team behind Horford, Smoove and Crawford. He raped the ASG on that contract

He raped the ASG on that contract Well it's silly to call him a bust. Busts are highly drafted players (like 1-2-3) who don't live up to expectations. JJ can't be a bust because he's already been a (borderline) all-star. Concerning ISOJoe's comment ($120 million down the toilet) - again - silly. Maybe $50 million down the toilet tops. JJ is certainly worth $70 million (that is...if he starts shooting better). :kickcan:

Gray Mule
Late in the 4th quarter, bob Rathbone said, "That's eight in a row that Joe Johnson has missed." I know he missed at least one more after that. We hear rumors that JJ is injured. If so, rest him. We need him being productive. He had rebounds, assists and played good defense? So, why can't he shoot? When we saw the ref blow that call on the clean block by J Smith, we question his eyesight. Has JJ had his eyes tested? Sometime before the playoffs last season, we saw JJ go off by hitting a high % of his shots in a game. Not every game, but sometimes. Then, when he didn't, we blamed it on double - trriple team defense. What can we blame it on now? Injury? If so, he needs to sit and heal. Our rookie 2 guard, also known as #2, is just as good or better than JJ right now. What? You're crazy G-M. Hear me out. He is quick. He can grab rebounds and hand out assists AND he can hit his shot. No, he's not anywhere as good as JJ when JJ is playing like the old JJ. The one who signed that multi-million contract. But, JJ is not. No. Think. This slump goes all the way back to the playoffs last season. Think back. When was the last time JJ "went off" and hit a high % of his shots?? On his best night, when he goes over 20 points, he has taken bunches of shots and hit a couple of 3's in there to get it to or above 20. Fatigue? Eyesignt? Ego? Injury? What ever it is, the bench seems to be the proper place to heal. We really need JJ but we need him at or near 100%, not what we have right now. :stirthepot:
