frosgrim
Shows how much talent there is in the front court, and how bad our bench is.
Moderators macdaddy Posted December 14, 2010 Moderators Report Share Posted December 14, 2010 Well that's pretty good. If you were going to rank our guys from best to worst just based on watching the games that's pretty much the order. I'd put Bibby ahead of Marvin but other than that looks dead on. Joker
Joe is usually top 5 for position so I am not worry about him if it's telling to our bench sans Jamal.
Premium Member Diesel Posted December 15, 2010 Premium Member Report Share Posted December 15, 2010 (edited) I think we can see that we definitely have some issues at PG. Bibby is ranked 35th amoung PGs. Kyle Lowry = 19th Avery Brooks = 20th. Marvin Williams is 23rd amoung Sfs. Caron Butler = 20 Tayshun Prince = 16 Dorrell Wright = 12 Marvin vs. the matchups Just looking at the numbers... It would seem that we go as Bibby goes. If Bibby wins his matchup, we're 6 and 1. However, I think the truth is that we go as Horf goes. In the case of Bibby and Marvin, we win by a lot when they win their matchups. However, with Horf, we have a few close games that we have won when he wins his matchup (even though every win for him isn't a win for us). With Joe... it's somewhat Indifferent. At any rate, if we make a trade, we should look to get either Lowry or Brooks from Houston. Edited December 15, 2010 by Diesel

Bibby does too little to still be a starter for just enough that you don't want to trade the house for an upgrade who won't really help in terms of playmaking. Marvin could go. He just doesn't have consistency. He is consistent at being inconsistent. I said that three years ago and it stands. Smoove has been impressive stat wise but you want him to be more versitale. T-Mac was a bad match-up for him since T-Mac is very crafty with his hands and Smoove doesn't use the triple threat effectively and he has awful handles but if he would post up more and use his jumper to his advantage, he would be a terror. Last year you just wished he had one, now he doesn't but isn't as effective around the basket. You want both, not one or the other.
