Are we doomed to be passed by Cleveland and NJ?

The lottery is not necessarily the path to a better team.

We would know.

You may be blessed with the number 1 pick and select an Oden or you can miss out on the number 1 and be left with a Beasley. All depends on who is there and how you evaluate production against team needs like say getting Kyrie Irving one year and then being eligible to select Austin Rivers the next but then saying you got Kyrie so let's pick "raw bigman with great potential" instead to pair with him. Just one of a billion scenarios that we've seen over the years between us and other teams.

About the capspace, well that doesn't mean s*** for Cleveland because....well it's Cleveland. They will either A) overpay marginal talent B)Only be able to absorb decent talent on bad contracts back in trades. The Brooklyn Nets may be an entirely different story in that regard so yea, fear them.

As for coaching? Naw, looking at two of the most overrated guys in the biz. Should not go without notice that they haven't made any difference and are piddling away on historically bad teams that just so happen to not be blessed with a championship caliber core/superstars already on the roster.

Shouldn't their much hyped pedigree at least allow them to be .500 or thereabouts even with a terrible to mediocre cast? They'd be lucky for their teams to have a combined 41 victories.
