Premium Member Popular Post Wretch Posted February 24, 2011 Premium Member Popular Post Report Share Posted February 24, 2011 This really has nothing to do with production or defense (or lack thereof)...but I will be sad to see Bibby go. Something about him coming to ATL and our first playoff appearance. And "Mike Bibby for THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE." Thanks for what you gave us and good luck to you man.
Admin
Agreed and I'm gonna miss Bibby. Sure wish it was Jamal that was being shipped out instead. Bibby will always be remembered as the player who got Atlanta back into the playoffs and I feel bad for him having to go play up in Washington. AnthonyI11
I agree. He gave us a lot.. not gonna lie. He's getting old now so all people like to do is hate on him, but in reality he helped this team A LOT. Sad to see he might have to end his career with Washington, but I'm happy he had some good years with us.

Bawse
Agree, I have nothing but respect for what Bibby brought to our squad. It was a much needed addition at the time when we were pushing for the playoffs. He'll be missed definitely.

Superiorblogman
Bibby deserves more respect. Bibby is the best clutch shot maker on the team bottomline.
Premium Member cam1218 Posted February 24, 2011 Premium Member Report Share Posted February 24, 2011 Count me in the crowd that is going to miss Bibby. He had his problems, more so as he aged, but I always felt that he tried really hard. Problem was the results just were not there.
Seano
Yeah I enjoyed his time here, and in my opinion he was a class act for the Hawks. No bad feelings at all regarding that guy, and I hope he does well in DC, though obviously never when facing us.
Lascar78
I feel bad for him having to go play up in Washington. Team Dime is going to tear that place up! I'll miss Bibby too, especially the big ball dance. Somebody find the .gif

coachx
Thank you Mike Bibby for teaching the young Hawks to be professional and directing hte ship for 3 years and 3 playoff runs. Your humor and light heartedness will be missed in the locker-room for sure.

Seano
Any Chance he gets bought out and comes back...? That would be pretty cool and you just never know, but I would tend to doubt the Wiz would do that. I'm assuming that Bibby is going to serve as the primary back-up and possible mentor type for John Wall, because after Wall and Bibbs, there's basically nuttin on that team so far as PG's go. Admin capstone21 Posted February 24, 2011 Admin Report Share Posted February 24, 2011 He was a smart passer and a great clutch shooter. Good luck in Washington
AHawks89
I'm going to miss the Bibby dance after nailing his clutch 3's. I've always had a lot of respect for Bibby and always will. People hated on him because of his age, something he can't help. Going to miss ya Bibster! :bye1:
yungsta
bibby had a bunch of clutch shots this season but he was just too much of a liability on defense and it was really destroying our team. I wish we could of kept him and he could come off the bench

I remember him from those Vancouver Grizzlies teams, with Shareef and Big Country Reeves and Othella Harrington, and Bibbs was just a hell of a player back then.
