These are a few of the names that were kicked around.

I don't know how things will go and Al's father Tito did not get his wish, but you have to think that we're considering something in the offseason.

However, I was shocked that Perk was moved (but it was a good deal).

I am equally shocked that Cleveland didn't do anything.

i think hibbert is cool but I picked Al jefferson. 18/9 with a low post game would look good beside horford 16/9 pick and pop game.

27 minutes a game...1.8 blocks almost 8 boards and 13.4 points...give him 35 minutes and it's 2.4 blocks and 10.4 rebounds...17 points. He's just a scary shot blocker and big enough to guard the centers that kill us.

Camp, you know players don't work that way. It's not a linear progression, if it were, Indy would be playing him that many minutes. There's a reason he only plays 27mpg. Probably just enough minutes for him to leave it all on the court.

Not considering Injuries? Ok or Perk hands down. I voted Perkins.

Much needed toughness.

My only problem with Perk is that he's not the brightest bulb in the room. The guy stays in Foul trouble.

Why did Boston get rid of him?

It's not because they had his replacement. They don't. Shaq is a one year playofftime test. JOneal is done.

Nenad isn't half the player that Perk is.

It comes down to BBIQ and future.

Getting Green was a great move for the future.

Getting rid of Perk was just a matter of BBIQ.

This is why I believe that "now is the time". Boston has weakened itself for the purpose of the future. The question is can we exploit it. If we see them in the playoffs, we should win!

This is what Doc Rivers had to say about it :

Doc: Trading For Green Gives Boston Lineup Similar To 2008 Title Team

Feb 24, 2011 23:12 PM EST

Doc Rivers admitted that trading Kendrick Perkins was difficult emotionally and it is unclear how it will pay off for the Celtics on the floor. Boston dealt Perkins to the Thunder in a trade that brought back Jeff Green as the main acquisition.

"The bottom line is: We’ll see," said Rivers. "We think we did pretty well today... Whoever is the single best player in the trade, that's who you try to get. Whether that's Jeff Green or Perk, we don't know that. Krstic is a good piece for us as well. He spreads the floor, which I think is great for Rondo. Jeff Green spreads the floor, too...

"We needed to get that [small forward or power forward] swing guy. One of the things I was just saying is that this gives us the ability -- like the year we won it -- at times we can go small with Green at the 4 and Kevin at the 5, with Paul and Ray spreading the floor. We've been trying to get that lineup ever since [Jame] Posey left. You forget how many times we did that in the playoffs, which was every fourth quarter. We haven't been able to duplicate that and, in some ways, it's hurt Rondo."

Boston will now rely heavily on Shaqulle O'Neal.

"Shaq's a key component of this," said Rivers. "We need to get Shaq healthy and Shaq will be healthy. If Shaq plays great, this deal was actually really good for us. That's on Shaq. We have to get Shaq in great shape, get him ready, get him healthy. He's really going to be important for us in the playoffs."

Anyone not voting Hibbert is thinking very small picture. Hibbert is the best, most impactful player of the lot.

This.

Brings the low post offense of Jefferson and the low post defense of Perkins together into one 7'2" package. Every other choice there are more effective on only one side of the court.
