I don't see how it couldn't. I think even getting to second round regardless of what happens, he's fine. After only one year, and if the Hawks beat the team that embarrassed us a year ago...?? No way they fire him.

Oh yeah. Absolutely. That was the goal right? But we haven't won the first round yet so lets not get ahead of ourselves. The real question is does a first round win guarantee LD comes back? I'm not sure. I think it depends on the second round showing and the possible sale/lawsuit/thrashers/asg-bs.

I think LD will be here next year unless we get blown out the next 4 straight games. With the CBA and potentially shortened season I don't see the ASG paying two coaches.

Yes he keeps his job and unless the ASG sell the team, he will probably keep his job just for winning One game against Orlando in the Playoffs on Their Homecourt.

Depends on how and who we face. Let's be honest, if somehow the Pacers knock out the Bulls or take them to 7 and we lose to the Pacers or get swept in the second round, Drew can kiss the baby.

For the Hawks and LD the proof is in the plyoffs. They blew the season (somewhat). A good showing and he deserves to come back. What's a good showing? Win the first, compete the rest of the way.
