WakaFlocka
Saw this a little bit ago and I'm really happy to see that Josh took the lockout seriously and bettered himself. No homo, but he looks great, much better than the pudgy look he had going on last year. I really, really hope that we don't trade him.
HawksFan87
where is the savior al horford?? If smoove was really demanding a trade no reason for him to show up voluntarily. And Jefferson is trash no thank u.
Wurider05
I know Utah doesn't need Josh or a Sf that was why I said we would need to find a 3rd team. Dragitoff in case you haven't heard both Milsap and Jefferson are on the block!!! Edited December 1, 2011 by Wurider05
Premium Member Jody23 Posted December 1, 2011 Premium Member Report Share Posted December 1, 2011 I wonder how much Josh weighs now? Considering he was listed at 240 last year, he looks to be around 215 now (just a guess). If that's the case, he definitely will be spending some time at the 3 this year. AHawks89
I think he lost 30lbs, or at least that's what I've heard. Glad to see Josh do some work during the off season, not to mention he was the first person to show up at the facility.

Premium Member niremetal Posted December 1, 2011 Premium Member Report Share Posted December 1, 2011 Yeah. Because what we really needed was for Smoove to be even more convinced that he belongs on the perimeter.

Agreed. If, as we now believe, Marvin has been playing with a bad back and now it's been fixed, perhaps we have a "New and improved Marvin." At last, something exciting to post about since there seems to be a "Mini" season coming up! GO HAWKS!! (And Merry Christmas to all NBA fans - - since this is when we begin again) Edited December 2, 2011 by Gray Mule

Premium Member hawkman Posted December 2, 2011 Premium Member Report Share Posted December 2, 2011 Wow he definitely looks like a SF. People complain about Smoove but he always shows that he's been working on something during the offseason. Whether it's his skills or physique, he seems to be very intent on improving his game every season.

Premium Member sturt Posted December 2, 2011 Premium Member Report Share Posted December 2, 2011 My theory, fwiw, is that Smoove is attempting to make himself as attractive a trade piece as he can... between the early arrival and the weight loss, that's plausibly a positive sign to some GMs that otherwise might be less enthusiastic. I'm also suspicious that the Kanter rumors were as serious as speculated back in June... it would make a lot of sense to unload Smoove for an under-the-cap team's rookie salary anyhow, since it conceivably could allow Sund to plausible bid to bring Crawford back. AHawks89
It seems like only Atlanta fans, not just in basketball, but in general never appreciate the players they have. Any team/fan in the NBA would love to have Josh Smith, but it seems like our fans are never thankful for the talent we have in Josh Smith, or any players in any other Atlanta sport. It's sad and pathetic.
Wurider05
Ahawks89 that fact that we (if rumors are true) couldn't get a draft pick from Minnoesota for Josh should say all we need to know.
