Premium Member sturt Posted December 9, 2011 Premium Member Report Share Posted December 9, 2011 What's the source for that, AHF? I'm assuming the writer isn't a Bleacher Report guy, but it would help to know who's writing... again, you can see what I'm saying... the ESPN article seems pretty exact on that point. Moderators AHF Posted December 9, 2011 Moderators Report Share Posted December 9, 2011 What's the source for that, AHF? I should have pulled the links. The first is off ESPN and the second is CNNSI's Zach Lowe. The only way I can reconcile them is to assume that Miami was still under the tax line after signing Battier and therefore could use the full MLE to go over the tax line. Premium Member sturt Posted December 9, 2011 Premium Member Report Share Posted December 9, 2011 Okay, here's what you were referring to... makes sense now. http://espn.go.com/nba/truehoop/miamiheat/story/_/id/7283642/nba-owners-concessions-benefit-miami-heat-mike-miller Can't find anywhere that Coon has wrote about this, which is surprising... or maybe just a testimony to my lack of "google skills."
