TheNorthCydeRises
The Pacers will lock Jamal up with a deal he won't refuse. NO way the Knicks get him for 2.5 million. Jamal would go to Minnesota for 5 million, before he plays for the Knicks for 2.5

lunar
Potential Trade to LAC if CP3 is traded for EG this trade could work out for both teams ATL-Craw (starting salary 8 million)/ M.Williams for LAC-Kaman (will be a free agent next year) this trade works in Trade Checker and would lower the team salary by alot. LAC would get a replacement for Aminu and a starting SG in crawford ATL would get a starting C in Kaman. after the year they could sign Kaman to a lower deal or let him go and steer clear of the luxuary tax line. Premium Member Diesel Posted December 12, 2011 Premium Member Report Share Posted December 12, 2011 I would be up for a NY SNT if the deal netted us:Toney Douglas, Landry Fields, and Balkman.I figure that NY can't get nobody else, so they would be doomed. Moderators lethalweapon3 Posted December 12, 2011 Moderators Report Share Posted December 12, 2011 Another door closes? (Indy trades for OJ Mayo) New Orleans is trying to swing Eric Gordon out of the CP3 deal, while Chicago seems enamored with Richard Hamilton and the Knicks can't find a deal they like. Crawford has to be feeling like the guy still standing after a game of musical chairs.~lw3
Premium Member Diesel Posted December 12, 2011 Premium Member Report Share Posted December 12, 2011 Could benefit us if Craw is left for a lowball offer after it's all said and done.

They have a guard rotation of Collison, Hill, Mayo and George. Where would Jamal fit?Oh, and Born Ready may have finally been birthed. WraithSentinel
It is usually around this time one of the bad teams come in and offer someone like Craw the money he want. I wouldn't be surprise if the T'Wolves for example come out of nowhere and offer Craw a contract.
swift
its crazy to think some *ss players in NBA are looking at nice contracts this off season and no one wants to pay Jamal ..Crawford is a 16-20 ppg scorer and instant offense .I mean DeAndre Jordan gets 40 million and all he does is block shots and put backs ..Nice to have a athletic big but he is oft injured .. Buzzard
Aldridge is reporting that the Knicks, Trailblazers, Pacers, and Timberwolves are gunning for Crawford and we have no interest in going into the luxury. He also states that the Pacers are probably out of it now with the OJ trade.Picking any of these three, Knicks, Trailblazers, and Timberwolves to come up with a SNT that still keeps us out of the luxury is the problem. Jamal is looking for 8 million a year ( which would put us in the luxury in a SNT ) or he may sign for one year and go after a better deal then.Link to article:http://hangtime.blog...-a-hot-pursuit/ Edited December 13, 2011 by Buzzard

Guest
Hawks are not going over the Luxury Tax to do a s-n-t to give Jamal the kind of money he wants and let him play for a team to make them better than us and in return get back players that won't significantly help us immediately. They can do a s-n-t for a draft pick or a TPE, that way they don't take on any salary and they get something for him Edited December 13, 2011 by JayBirdHawk

Still holding out hope with Indy now that the Mayo trade never actually existed, we need as many 2nd round low unguaranteed picks to fill out our roster next year as we can get. Hawks will be in a 5 million dollar better position. Hinrich will most likely be traded this year as an expiring 8 million. Next year both Josh and Zaza are expirings worth 18 million. Marvin has a 7.5 million player option after next year, Teague a 3+ million qualifying offer. We don't need 2nd's...we need bodies or it's back to the lottery in 2 years with Joe/Al as the core. Yea, with only 9 million to spend you best believe it will be wash and repeat with regards to next season's offseason. Hinrich isn't going anywhere unless he's part of a larger deal or just flipped for another expiring because the team NEEDS that amount of salary to come off the books. The current model doesn't support keeping JJ and keeping Josh Smith after next season. By the end of next season, Josh will be the more valuable player and JJ will be on the decline. What indication have you gotten from the team and Josh himself that the "model" requires him remaining a Hawk past 2013? No, you've got it *ss backwards. It's Josh who will more than likely be gone before the end of next season.
