MaceCase
For all fetching Capologists with their brawny brainpower that brings all the girls to our cookouts, you will be happy to know that Larry Coon has the new CBA up and published at his site. Now to prepare ourselves for an offseason of needling at all those of a lesser attractive intellect's trade ideas. Yes, this post was meant entirely to come across as elitist. thecampster
The 2 most likely to trip people up and have us laughing. 1.Trade kickers are paid by the team trading the player. (changed from receiving team - imagine the hawks paying 3 million to drop a player)2. Non-taxpaying teams can receive in trade 150% plus $100,000 (when trading $0 to $9.8 million), 100% plus $5 million (when trading $9.8 million to $19.6 million), and 125% plus $100,000 (when trading more than $19.6 million). - from a flat 125% +100K for all transactions. This bit of math is going to make someone's head detach.
MaceCase
Glancing through the faq I noticed something with regards to the lux tax. There is an extra dollar charge added to the tax if the team spends 3 years straight or 3 out of 4 years as a "repeat offender". The Hawks are already on the books for 1 year thanks to the "Eric Spectrum" and barring trade dumps could be likely to pay it again next year considering the 60 mil to only 6 players. This could have a huuuuuge consequence on the 2013-14 free agents as I just don't think the ASG can sell enough draft picks to foot that bill.
