Gray Mule
Remember, players like Marvin Williams are a dime a dozen. So, if he's this easy to replace, guess we may have found him. ruhiel
He's another tweener (big and slow for the SF) and can't shoot. He's 6'9 and 230 according to draftexpress.Josh Smith at the SF is the way to go.At this point people are taking Smith for granted. Come on Josh Smith or Derrick Brown? AnthonyI11
Derrick Brown has shot 50% from the field for his career. Not bad

kerrypack
seems fairly athletic from his draft stats: http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-pre-draft-measurements/?year=All&sort2=DESC&draft=&pos=&source=All&sort=
batfanjordanv
If we don't re-sign Ivan Johnson, Derrick Brown is in my mind a more than capable replacement as our backup PF.

Pretty sure we already re-signed Ivan. Or at least have him an offer, I can't remember. *gave
MaceCase
Ivan has a qualifying offer from the Hawks in order to maintain the right to match any deal he signs with another team but I don't think he's accepted it yet.

GO ATLANTA - - HAWKS BRAVES FALCONS DREAM !! Don't forget that he last his starting spot last year. JJ would have possibly been the starting SF again anyway. 49%FG 44%3pt 4RPG 4APG 20.1PPG at SF http://espn.go.com/nba/player/splits/_/id/1007/joe-johnson If the trade wouldn't have happened then JJ would probably be at SF again. I have a sneaking suspicion Ivan hasn't signed waiting on Kyle Korver to be trade packagable around Sept 15. A matter of when and where we can sign players and including them in sign and trades. DrReality
But brown never carried the burden of the high draft pick Which has been ominous
NJHAWK
I wanted Brown when he came out of Xavier. He does a little bit of everything, has a nice shot and good on the baseline. Very athletic guy who can defend multiple positions. Billy Knight kind of player which once was in surplus on this team but now is a need.
