CODE RED : Operation Trade Josh Immediately!

Smoove's play is not entirely his fault. Some of the blame should fall on Woody and now LD. Your PF should not be hanging around the 3 point line 75% of the game. Or constantly jacking up jumpers when he's on a team FULL of shooters. How does LD feel about Korver now showing Josh how to shoot threes. REALLY?! Is that something that should be happening?!? Josh now thinking he should shoot MORE because he's received some instruction?! LD is watching all of this happen...silently. Any competent coach would bench Josh after several bone headed plays in a row or beg management to trade him.

Ivan doesn't hang out there. He's always 20 feet and in. Horford doesn't do that when he's playing PF. He's normally at the same distance as Ivan, and maybe even a step closer. Only guys who think they can shoot from out there do that. I think Josh is feeling the pressure of being "the man". He just needs to let the game come to him. Last year he could get away with it, because JJ could somewhat bail him out when he's playing bad, or he'd defer to JJ altogether. But now that he's the marquee guy, he's trying to live up to that. Big crowd at Philips tonight, with Josh as "the man". He simply couldn't handle the pressure. He tried to do too much. And Battier shut him down.

I honestly think the more we showcase Josh the worse his flaws are going to get because he KNOWS we are showcasing him and he actually thinks he can the man and shot 90120398218302 outside jumpers and it will magically work out for him.

He is able to pad his stats just enough to not look horrible in a box score. But yes, he was horrible and made bonehead plays at the most inopportune times. But the biggest loser of the day award has to go to Larry Drew. Congrats coach!
