TheFuzz
A) PER is not a great stat. Not awful, but not great. Basically, if you hit tons of shots at above a .300 or so clip (it's a little higher than that but I forget the formula.), it'll be good. It also doesn't really cover defense at all. That's why Monta Ellis traditionally has a high PER while being a net negative in virtually every advanced stat. B) Why do we HAVE to get rid of him? It's like the people who say we HAVE to get rid of Josh. No... we don't. If a better option comes up, of course we take it. Let me qualify that by saying letting Zaza walk is obviously preferable to overpaying him. But having Zaza as a good back-up center for 4 or 5 mill a year is obviously preferable to having Petro be our back-up, no? Again, if a better option comes up like Howard, then of course we take Howard. If he's not overpaid, he becomes an asset that can produce either on the court or in a trade. If throwing in Zaza makes a deadline trade to bring back a really good player work, then we do that. C) Zaza is awesome. He deserves the MAX...imum support of the fans. So why are we arguing over ZAZA of all people?!!
