June 25^th, 2012 – Becomes the GM and President of Basketball Operations for the Atlanta Hawks

June 28^th, 2012 – Selects John Jenkins and Mike Scott in the 2012 NBA Draft.

July 11^th, 2012 – Trades Joe Johnson to the Brooklyn Nets for Deshawn Stevenson, Anthony Morrow, Johan Petro, Jordan Farmar, Jordan Williams and what ended up being a 2013 1^st round pick.

July 11^th, 2012 – Trades Marvin Williams to the Utah Jazz for Devin Harris.

July 12^th, 2012 – Signs Lou Williams using the MLE.

July 16^th, 2012 – Waives Jordan Farmar

July 16^th, 2012 – Trades cash for Kyle Korver.

July 30^th, 2012 – Trades Willie Green to the Los Angeles Clippers for the draft rights to Sofoklis Schortsanitis.

August 28^th, 2012 – Hires Kenny Atkinson and Bob Weiss as assistant coaches. Names Rick Sund an advisor of basketball operations.

September 12^th, 2012 – Waives Jordan Williams.

September 18^th, 2012 – Ivan Johnson accepts one year deal to return to Hawks.

September 27^th, 2012 – Signs Anthony Tolliver.

October 11^th, 2012 – Waives Isma'il Muhammad and forward Keith Benson.

October 27^th, 2012 - Waived forwards James Anderson and Damion James.

January 7^th, 2013 – Ferry fined $15k for sending in tapes on Rajon Rondo.

January 16^th, 2013 – Hawks suspend Josh Smith for one game due to altercation at practice. Has meeting with Josh Smith around this time on his future. ("Max Money" claims)

January 21^st, 2013 – Hawks sign Jannero Pargo to 10-day contract after Lou Williams injures ACL.

February 21^st, 2013 – Tries to trade Josh Smith at the deadline, but chooses to hold to him and ends up trading Anthony Morrow to Dallas for Dahntay Jones. Also accepts a deal for Jeremy Tyler for a second round pick.

March 6th, 2013 - Jeremy Tyler waived by Hawks.

March 6, 2013 – Hawks sign Shelvin Mack to 10-day contract.

March 26, 2013 – Hawks sign Shelvin Mack for rest of season.

May 28, 2013 – Hawks hire Mike Budenholzer as Head Coach.

June 10, 2013 – Hawks hire Quin Snyder as an assistant head coach. Hawks also fined for tampering.
