You think the difference between a 43.6 and 41% 3pt specialist is twice as much salary for twice as long. That would make me 2.6% short of being twice as smart as you.W

Ehh... Who knows why Dunleavy signed that deal, though. Maybe he sees the Bulls as his best chance for a ring.

Just because the Dunleavy deal is a steal doesn't make this one a bad one.

Where are you getting those numbers? AGAIN, Dunleavy 37% career 3pt shooter. Korver 42% 3pt shooter. Strange that you're so smart and you can't read numbers on a web page.

Waste???? Wow... I understand not liking the signing but you and perhaps Swift should bring more to the argument than waste or Brandon Rush would have been better... Come with a clear realistic angle and explanation on why its a waste and how the money should have been spent.

6 mil for a 10 ppg scorer that does not create his own shoot and runs base line around picks or screens to get a shot It's just as bad as Knicks when they paid Novak and Novak was a better 3 pt shooter Again so unless this team now has a BIG man like Howard that commands double teams and Korver can knock down open 3s there are 1000 other angles that Hawks could have went to give Korver 6 mil per seasonTrade 2 and round pick for RushSign Delfino

I'm assuming that is just step one in the "settle for mediocrity plan" if we don't land Dwight. Wasting the rest of our cap space on Al Jefferson or Pekovic or Iggy would cement it.

I highly doubt we will see a big deal for someone like Iggy. I will hit the roof if that is the big move our offseason and certainly hope that we didn't get rid of JJ to sign Iggy to a similar deal.

If you're taking it personal then by all means go ahead. But you're the ones who've come here to crap on a thread that 95% of us are excited about.

I haven't taken anyone's posts out of context or said that they know more than Ferry in building a team. I am however expressing my opinion on how I feel about the signing.

Anyone know a site with up-to-date roster w/ (reported) contract amounts, including this offseason's moves?

It makes more sense than going off of the other 3 deals that shooters have gotten in this market. Everyone knows that 1 deal is the standard to measure against vs 3 deals. Sheesh.

You said we could sign Rush for peanuts. Pretty sure we always have peanuts lying around, no need to panic yet.

95% loved MW over the franchise GPS also. Included you. Hmm? Consensus sometimes gets happy with anything thrown at them.. We paid 2 times more for twice as long as a 32 yr old shooting specialist deserves.W

Try again smart guy. I never loved Marvin Williams. Just wasn't willing to trash the guy for getting an education like you were.

Walter, I agree with you but clearly we are in the minority. I think we've explained our position well enough.

Another way to look at this is...maybe DF went to CMB and said - "hey - you know we are losing our starting SF - who would you prefer we go for?"

Bud may have said "KK is big enough to play SF in my system - and he's coachable. I need a coachable veteran to get off on the right foot."

I freaking love it. I did a dance and gave my wife a high five when I heard the news. KK is a tremendous asset on and off the court for us. Great locker room guy. Will be the perfect mentor for Jenkins. Legendary 3-pt specialist. Very high BBIQ. Takes good care of himself. Constantly moves on offense and hust. Not a bad defender.

Pretty much does. We aren't the clippers getting a last piece and overpaying for it like reddick (who I at lest inhis prime) We have 4 players under contract. We don't have the luxury of overpaying significantly for 32 yr old snipers. We don't have a superstar to build around. We can't afford to act like we do.W

And almost 2,700 views of this thread in 90 minutes. Whew!
