frankthetank966
It's very difficult to observe the games especially when they are not being broadcasted (lame Hawks). From the stat-line perspective, which I shun when I actually watch games, JJ did not contribute. His defense was also weak.
GameTime
Not sure if you guys have been reading these "Breaking Bud" articles, but in this 3rd installment he talks about Mike Scott and how he will be playing the 4. Especially during the first half of the season. See the 4th paragraph from the bottom for the start of the Mike Scott discussion. http://hawksbasketblog.com/2013/10/14/breaking-bud-part-three-the-frontcourt/ Coach Bud:“I really think I want Mike to focus on the four position and learning the four position and being really efficient and really good,” Bud said. “In the system it’s a significant difference in those two positions, and it’s not something we do a lot with the four-to-three or three-to-four. I’m not saying it hasn’t ever happened, it has occasionally, but I think for Mike to start the season I think his focus and our focus is on him to play the four even though he does have some natural abilities and some things defensively and offensively where you could at least consider that or think about it, but that’s not really the plan.”
TheFuzz
Unfortunately he just seems a little slow to guard the 3. Definitely has the stroke though.
