JackB1
Coach Bud...WTF???? A desperation catch and shoot right off the inbounds play is our best shot at winning the game? We had SIX SECONDS!!!!!!!! not one . Geeezzzzz. I was scrtaching my headfor an hour after that. How about 1,2 and 3 options? We had plenty of time. And why isn't Horf the #1 option???? Korver is good when he's open, but not when forced. We all know that. Cmon Bud! We expected better than that.
Premium Member Atlantaholic Posted November 4, 2013 Premium Member Report Share Posted November 4, 2013 Teague ISO at the top of the key was the way to go IMO. 6 seconds is plenty of time.
GameTime
Defending Bud, his playcalling in the 2nd half other than this play was phenomenal.

Maybe the idea was to curl Korver, and only go his way if it was wide open. Maybe Antić got anxious and didn't wait for his other options... who knows
TheNorthCydeRises
Teague ISO at the top of the key was the way to go IMO. 6 seconds is plenty of time.I agree. Get him the ball there and run pick and roll with either Horford or Millsap. And if you want to screen for Korver off the ball to get him open, then do that.
HawkItus
http://hawksquawk.net/community/topic/386264-peachtree-hoops-hawks-vs-lakers-breaking-down-atlantas-final-possession/ Good breakdown. This was a good play design, just poor execution.
MaceCase
Kyle looked like the only anxious one on the play, there were options and time galore but he had a quick trigger. Al further compounded it by trying to save a ball that was obviously blocked. Ah well, not going to fault the coach for the lack of individual IQ of his players.
