Would be pointless. The team would have to insult every last basketball purist and fan to suck enough just to get the 10th pick and an ~1% chance at getting in the top 3 or just stay the course and get the 16th pick. Not like other teams are going to oblige you either and say "oh, we will gladly start winning games so that we can take your spot in mediocrity rather than suck ourselves!"

Sure, we can easily slip into that group, but to what end? We're not

getting the top pick or even the top five or six..

Just gotta, gotta, gotta have one of the top picks? Trade with whoever

gets one of 'em. Give them whatever we have that they want.

If possible, and it's not, would you give our entire starting five for one

of those "Great" first round, lottery picks? Since this is impossible,

just what would you give?

Maybe, just maybe, building from where we are and with what we have

might not be such a bad idea after all.
