Gray Mule
Some people worry. If they have nothing to worry aboutthis worries them because they are sure something bad will happen. As we enter the all star break, here is two things for everyone to worry about. 1- What if we have a player on the all star team and he makes so many mistakesthat it results in our side coming up short and he becomes the goat. Think whatthis does to the poor player and to the entire organization and their fans. 2- What if we have a player on the all star team and, while playing, he sustainsan injure that causes him to miss substantial time for the remainder of the year.We know that most all little boys love to "show off." Watch me do this! In theall star games, usually that hidden little boy comes out as these great playerslove to "show off" for their fans. Neither of these two things could possibly happen. Could it? Hopefully, it doesn't but why not now worry about it! GO MILLSAP!

Randy
Gray Mule - I wouldn't worry too much about either thing happening. No one pays much attention to turnovers in an all star game and no one plays all that long, esp. reserves. As for injuries - that can happen in practice. If Paul wasn't in the ASG, they might well be practicing this weekend. The only solution to this kind of worry is to never have any players good enough to make the all star team, which no one wants. We'd rather have a team where all 5 starters are all stars.
Moderators PSSSHHHRRR87 Posted February 16, 2014 Moderators Report Share Posted February 16, 2014 I agree with Randy. Neither is an extreme possibility. No one checks the box score for an All Star game and no one is there to watch Paul Millsap anyway (no offense Mr. Sap, lol). Even if a guy like Carmelo or LeBron has a poor shooting game during an All Star game, it would never be brought into serious question. And injury can happen walking down the street. The possibility of injury in an All Star game is very low because no one plays defense or hustles. Also, on worrying... People who worry annoy the hell outta me. Worrying never solves anything and people who worry are just wasting time. Either something will happen or it won't. No use fretting over it. John Wall winning the dunk contest was huge for the league too.
