Guest
Because Deng won't give anyone a promise of re-signing with them. Exactly. The idea of Making statements in a vacuum without a reasoning behind it - I see that a lot.
Guest
Yep and then maybe Al isn't hurt again this season because he would have been playing his actual position,Al would still be playing center because Al Jeff was hurt to start season so he would still have gotten injured...lol. Just saying if all things were the same.
Plainview1981
We can play the what if game all day. Maybe if we didn't sign Millsap then Horford isn't in that exact position at that time that blew his boob out and no way are we a bottom tier team with Horford. With the way this team is dropping games now I wouldn't bet on it. A whole year with just Teague and Al Hoford?

Just saying if all things were the same. Yeah but Horford would have to be in that same position against the same guy or his boob might not have torn. It was a very freakish injury. With the way this team is dropping games now I wouldn't bet on it. A whole year with just Teague and Al Hoford? You're assuming that we didn't use that money to sign someone else, that we'd have all the other injuries we have now, etc. Too many assumptions to make this a real discussion. Premium Member Vol4ever Posted February 20, 2014 Premium Member Report Share Posted February 20, 2014 LOL, I think Jaybird and Dol are plants from the Hawks front office. Kinda like trying to defend the president!
TheNorthCydeRises
All you need to know about Jefferson's value is that the Bobcats are only +2.5 with him on the court. He's not a difference maker, never has been and never will be. Once again . . . using ONE negative stat against him ( that isn't even a negative ), to try to devalue the contribution he brings to the table. LOL @ ONLY +2.5 with him on the court . . on a Bobcat team that was the WORST team in the league on defense last year, but is SIXTH in the NBA on defense this year. How about the fact that despite only making a coaching change, and bringing Jefferson to replace those scrub big men they had in Charlotte last year, the Bobcats have already surpassed their 21 win total of last year . . . and are on pace to win 37 games. You hold onto that "only" +2.5 with him on the court stat. He's already +4 in the win column for Charlotte compared to last year, with 27 games to go. Oh I know it's a very complicated metric that can't possibly be accurate. And haha you keep hanging onto the thought that this guy makes any difference out there. He's an above average player on offense and below average on defense. And I'm sure the other moves, players getting older and SIGNIFICANTLY better coaching have had nothing to do with them getting better.
Moderators AHF Posted February 20, 2014 Moderators Report Share Posted February 20, 2014 We can play the what if game all day. Maybe if we didn't sign Millsap then Horford isn't in that exact position at that time that blew his boob out and no way are we a bottom tier team with Horford. Considering that was my exact plan this summer after we missed on Dwight and Paul, I have to respectfully disagree. We could have been playing Dennis all season and not have resigned Teague and Korver and we would be among the worst teams even with a healthy Horford. We would then have room to sign a max free agent along with our draft pick, Horford, and our young players. It is all academic now, though, so not really worth arguing over.
