Few aspects from tonight thus far...

1. It's sad that Elton Brand can't move laterally. - Age?

2. Muscala is a confident kid, better shooter than I thought. - I liked Moose tonight too. Needs strength, but that'll come. Pretty jumper.

3. Eddie Johnson said his career high was 54 I don't believe it but could find it. - B-ball reference says 51 45 was his high

4. I hate having to listen to Suns broadcast. - I watched it on mute

Cleveland has a pretty tough schedule coming up. I think NY leap frogging us is a bigger possibility than Cleveland. Check out the schedules linked below. Knicks have it easy for the next 8 games, but will the dumbasses win them is the big question. Atlanta staying at 8th seed is the biggest probable though. :sad:Knicks:http://espn.go.com/nba/team/schedule/_/name/ny/new-york-knicksCavs:http://espn.go.com/nba/team/schedule/_/name/cle/cleveland-cavaliersSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Will Mike Mascala play? Don't know. Probably not.

Surprise! Surprise! He did get in and, for a rook who had never played

in the NBA before and who just arrived last week:

19 minutes

2-6 = 4 points

5 rebounds

2 blocked shots.

I read some comments from players and coaches before the game:

He's big!

He has a high IQ.

He is a good player, better than expected.

Any one want to disagree??

It's weird I loved Eddie Johnson when he played on the Suns back in the day. But as an analyst he's annoying as hell lol. Ya I'm fairly certain he said his career high was 54 during the telecast and although he was a great shooter during his time, 54 sounded too high for me to believe. I guess 45 makes sense but even that seems like he overachieved a bit. If I had to guess and didn't know his high was 45 I would said 36 or 38 at most. No denying he could shoot but I never remember him as a big time scorer/ volume/shooter/scorer.

Stealth tank is on. I approve. Just wish we had made this decision before the season started.

Before the season fell apart we were a 3 seed who'd beaten Indy and Miami. This shit works and they needed to give them a shot at it. Now they're doing their best to get the best pick they can and I certainly approve.

Yeah, I'm on board the Tank. I can still enjoy this team losing every night, even if the defense is hopeless. As long as we keep miraculously scoring 100+ with this group, distributing the ball, hitting the three, and converting at the line, I'm good. Keep Carrolle and Scott on their incline, start Muscala off on the good foot, get Dennis' minutes up, etc.

You guys keep talking about a "stealth tank." We're just a horrifically bad defensive team right now. If Bud was trying to tank, Dennis would be playing 20 min a night. What REALLY needs to be addressed ( starting this summer for most of you ), is if Ferry can really construct the right type of team from top to bottom.Because the reality is that even before the injuries, we were a barely over .500 team that had played a bottom 5 schedule at that point. Now that the schedule has toughened, and our 2 stars are out with injuries, it really exposes us.Unfortunately, I'm seeing a team these days that can't even compete on a defensive level, especially out on the perimeter. It will be very interesting to see what Ferry does to address our defensive issues.

That's why it's a stealth tank. If he played Dennis 20 minutes a night it would be an obvious tank.

Reality of our winning % or not, we had beaten Indy and Miami and could compete against any team in the league. I would have loved to have seen this team healthy all season and really given them time to learn the system and each other. It's actually quite remarkable that we were even able to be above .500 and competitive against the elite teams considering the roster turnover plus different offensive and defensive systems.

Our defensive issues will disappear once we replace Teague and Korver in the starting lineup. They allow far too much penetration and production from the guard positions.

Main thing I have taken from this last month is that Coach Bud is the real deal and belongs at the front of this team. What he has managed to do with a swiss cheese roster is nothing short of fantastic. Another big thing is this , indeed a big one with me is how Woody never showed emotion on the bench. Yea he would show disapproval at times , but Bud just flat out gets pissed off. Am I the only one who loves these emotions from our coach? I trust in Bud and his decision making , and lets not forget that heis a rookie himself. Fantastic job so far coach! Also Muscala is a pretty big boy. I was expecting a bag of bones from some comments in here about the guy. Plus he seems tomove real well without the ball. Looking forward to the coming games for this kid.

Your last paragraph addresses the real issue. If Teague and Korver are essentially liabilities on defense, who do you bring in to send one or both to the bench. Or maybe a better scenario, do you trade one or both of them to upgrade the PG & SG position.

We're enduring one of our worst stretches of basketball in 10 years. Bud is a good coach. But Bud is also somewhat culpable in how bad we're playing right now.If he is to get credit for how hard we fight on offense, he has to get some of the blame for how we lay down on defense.

Well I think that the hope is that Korver becomes a specialist off the bench and that Dennis is the future at the PG position since he's got enormous defensive potential. I do not see Teague as a long term piece to this team unless he someone becomes a good defender.

We don't know what the mandate is from on high so it's difficult to judge, but considering we're competing in games with a roster who has no business competing, I think Bud has done a damn fine judge.
