TheNorthCydeRises
This is if both teams tie with the same overall record: 1) Division winner . . . . neither team will qualify 2) Head to Head . . . . series tied 2 - 2 . . no more games 3) Conference W - L % . . . ATL: 21- 20 . . NYK: 21 - 24 - remaining games vs East teams: ATL: 11 . . NYK: 7 4) W - L% vs East Playoff Teams . . . ATL: 8 - 13 . . NYK: 5 - 12 ( 7 - 14 if you add Atlanta to their record ) - remaining games vs East playoff teams: ATL: 6 . . . NYK: 7 5) W - L% vs West Playoff Teams . . . ATL: 2 - 14 . . NYK: 2 - 12 - remaining games vs West playoff teams: ATL: 0 . . NYK: 2 6) Net Points ( Differential ) . . ATL: ( -1.3 ) . . NYK: ( - 1.5 ) This will give all of you an idea of what is to come for both teams. If the Knicks pass us, they will have earned it, seeing the schedule they play to close the season. The ONLY easy out they have, is @ Utah. And all of those playoff teams are jockeying for playoff seeding position.
Randy
Not looking good for our draft prospects. Maybe our only hope is that Phil can sprinkle some of his zen dust on the Knicks and they go on a winning streak. Or maybe Woody should just shave his eyebrows.

I swear I can't take Woody seriously anymore. Like when he's really serious and intense in a huddle drawing up a play, I just start laughing uncontrollably. Lmao, oh mista potato head. MaceCase
Can hope in Cleveland too. 3 games out and they have the weaker SOS between ATL and NY.

DJlaysitup
We're so screwed.Screwed = Your Atlanta Hawks. How can a franchise be so totally mis-managed. We aren't even bright enough to lose effectively. Our key guy (Milsap) is on a two year (one left)...our guards are borderline...we jump up and down about guys like DMC....we totally suck. It's OK if you totally suck and get a top 5 and rebuild...we just blow balls and will get CRUSHED in the playoffs and will then draft Shardunious Cerkovious from the Cacklestile Republic....a 6-8 PF who needs time in the Euro League to advance.Please...please..sell this team and come out as even as you can ASG. You have already tried to sell the Hawks out from under us to a pizza/casino dude who was going to move the team to Las Vegas and YOU DIDN'T GIVE A PHUCK.THE LEAGUE had to stop you...you are crap and we all know it....Belkin would have made this a decent team....ASG is ASS. MaceCase
And right on cue......Cleveland loses to Brooklyn. I said strength of schedule not just the very next game. Perhaps you should save your cues for when Cleveland drops games to the Hawks, Bucks, Pistons, Celtics, Magic and Bobcats. No one will be as shocked watching Cleveland losing to the Nets or Pacers as they will the Knicks winning any of their games against the Suns, Heat, Wizards, Warriors, Raptors, Nets and Bulls. Perhaps you should save your cues for when Cleveland drops games to the Hawks, Bucks, Pistons, Celtics, Magic and Bobcats. Cleveland's record vs these 6 teams Atlanta: 0 - 2 Boston: 0 - 2 Charlotte: 0 - 3 Detroit: 2 - 1 Milwaukee: 2 - 1 Orlando: 3 - 0 So if they go 4 - 2 vs those 6 teams, would that be good enough to pass us? Or better yet, what is the number that a team has to get to, in order to get that 8th seed? 35? 36?
MaceCase
All depends on what the Hawks do. If Kyle Sura continues to be sidelined then it's rather possible for the Cavs to make up 3.5 games with those 4 wins. I even think their game against the Nets on the last day of the season could be another likely win if all the Net vets are in suits. All I'm suggesting that it's more than a 2 team "race" for the 8th. The Hawks could shelve all debate with just a few wins but despite the home heavy schedule this team of walking wounded isn't even a lock to win against Philly.
