Wurider05
Talent wise this is probably the worst Hawks team we have had in a while. However, they do play great as a team. With that being said how many games can we take from the Heat? Bud can make a name for himself because just like us they are a poor rebounding team. Moderators macdaddy Posted April 9, 2014 Moderators Report Share Posted April 9, 2014 My initial reaction is one. But the truth is if we get good 3 point shooting not just from Kyle but from Demarre, Antić, and Scott then we could be dangerous. I'd just like to see us defend better on the perimeter or we've got no chance.
Premium Member Jody23 Posted April 9, 2014 Premium Member Report Share Posted April 9, 2014 If the Hawks are fortunate, one. If the Heat are looked in from the jump, zero.
Bonkers
None Only way the Hawks take a game is if the Heat just slack off and Hawks take advantage Edited April 9, 2014 by Bonkers

benhillboy
Healthy Wade, 1. Iffy Wade, our ceiling is a competitive Game 6. Brand, Antić, and Sap will hold their own, but we need everyone on the glass. I fear our small guards won't help enough. We don't guard the three point line and they have Ray Allen, so there's that. DJlaysitup
To answer the thread title - if everybody tries (which they usually do since favorites want to rest while their next competitors fight it out)...I would say:0 Edited April 9, 2014 by DJlaysitup
Guest
Millsap is a Heat killer. The Heat aren't the same team as they have been the last 3 years. They are beatable but obviously even if we outplay them the league and refs won't let us win. I say we could get 2 games from them. 3 games isn't out of the question either. The teams that threaten the Heat are those with bigtime inside games. Pero, Sap, and whoever aren't going to spook them. We have a decent chance at keeping a game final score under a 10 point margin. My guess would be:MIA - 112...ATL - 99MIA - 109...ATL - 86MIA - 104...ATL - 78 (sh!t the bed first home game)MIA - 97...ATL - 94 (Bud appeals to "manhood" and we get close).. Moderators AHF Posted April 9, 2014 Moderators Report Share Posted April 9, 2014 We could take up to 2 with injuries and lack of focus from Miami. I am predicting sweep but will hope for a miracle upset.

I am predicting sweep but will hope for a miracle upset.Maybe...but my guess is the big three and cohorts will look at this as an opportunity to sweep and then rest while their next opponents go 6 or 7 games. I don't expect any "lack of focus" from Lebron's team.

Premium Member Jody23 Posted April 9, 2014 Premium Member Report Share Posted April 9, 2014 No offense, but it's kinda sad when we're getting excited about how many if any games the Hawks can in a series where we know they're gonna lose. And in the end, it's not gonna mean a thing from a basketball standpoint.
DJlaysitup
Are the refs showing up?? If so... 0.Sadly that is a very good point D. How Atlanta became a poor basketball destination is beyond me. Still...The NBA and the media will just want to get past this "pseudo series" as fast as possible and move on to what matters. Refs will likely just "let em play" and get out of town as quick as they can.
DJlaysitup
......And in the end, it's not gonna mean a thing from a basketball standpoint.BINGO !!!It's not gonna mean a damned thing...nothing.Bottom teams will get their top NCAA players....middle teams will "stay the course"...and top teams will continue to be top teams.Major changes - maybe not next year but the one after that - will be that the tankers will pass the "stay the coursers" and nobody will care that we tried to win games with an injury depleted lineup...we'll just be the same old Hawks....lose by 10 on ESPN.

Gray Mule
Any where from two to four! All the Hear games will be home games, whether they are played in Miami or Atlanta. That's right, games @ Phillips Arena will attract all those King James fans living in or near Atlanta and then, many fans will follow their team up here. So, it will be the lonely Hawks VS the almighty King James and his followers. If we, the Hawks, can get their shots to fall and the refs aren't TOO one sided, every game will be close and exciting. However, if the Hawks shoot like they did against Detroit, which doesn't happen every game, we are doomed. About as much chance of surviving as a snowball in Atlanta in August. We will not last long. If everyone is healthy, we are capable of beating this team. Don't giggle. We are. Wait and see. Remember when we faced the Celtics and they swept us in four, as projected? No? Then, do you remember that it went for seven games? I do. It can happen again. Believe it or not. GO HAWKS!! Premium Member BrazilianHawk Posted April 9, 2014 Premium Member Report Share Posted April 9, 2014 1. Joey Crawford won't let us have a win in Miami. Now, if he doesn't show up to ref... Then I say two, G1 and G3.
