Premium Member Vol4ever Posted June 7, 2014 Premium Member Report Share Posted June 7, 2014 Just don't think he has any ties to ATL. Cleveland is a tie for him, other than that it would take LA or NY IMO but I don't think he leaves Miami
MaceCase
If he opts out this year then the team doesn't have the cap to sign him to a deal worthy of his production. If it's about taking a pay cut then I'm sure teams like Houston (if they execute their convoluted plan to dump Asik and Lin ) or Chicago would represent more ready made teams for him to join. MaceCase
Chicago would burn to the ground if LBJ went to the Bulls I'm sure they'd come around when he's hitting game winners while Rose is clapping on the sideline in a suit.

TheFuzz
I don't see him leaving Miami, and we'd have to work some magic to get the cap-room. IF he leaves Miami and IF we have the cap room I think we'd be pretty high on the list, actually. I don't see him returning to Cleveland to play with youngsters or going to Chicago to play in Jordan's shadow.
Moderators AHF Posted June 7, 2014 Moderators Report Share Posted June 7, 2014 Lebron left CLE because he didn't think Danny Ferry could land superstars to make his path to a ring easier. Why join Ferry in Atlanta with no superstars? We aren't going to be considered.
NJHAWK
We dont have a wade or ray allen to take the last shot or the big shots because you sure as hell know that Powerade nosejob wants nothing to do with that.

Why join Ferry in Atlanta with no superstars? We aren't going to be considered. He's in the finals without any other superstars on his team right now unless you want to count a past his prime Wade. He won't be leaving Miami, but if he does and we could move Lou, Jenkins, Antić, Schröder and others to squeeze him in, he won't find a roster that compliments him better than Teague, Korver, Millsap, Horford and coach Bud. He won't leave Miami though. And if he does and he doesn't consider us AT ALL, he's a dumbass. He could join a constantly injured Rose/Noah duo, a past-his prime Dirk that schooled him a couple of years ago, Harden and Dwight (I'm sure Lebron likes the sound of playing with those clowns in the West), a team full of young guns in Cleveland, or a team with 3 all-star level players in their prime, the best shooting specialist in the league and the system that's given and is still giving him the fight of his life in the finals. I guess Philly has the cap room too. I'll say it again, though. I'll be incredibly surprised if he leaves Miami.
NJHAWK
The real question is how many of us would want him here. Id much rather put a team together to beat him than have him join us.

He seems healthier now than he has been in a long time. Allen was burying 3's early and Bosh played at the very least like an all star..

Allen was burying 3's early and Bosh played at the very least like an all star.. Bosh and Allen did play well, and Wade was ok. That sums up why he won't leave though. Long couple of days so I'm going pretty ham, I apologize for that. If he leaves we should be high on the list. Whether that reflects positively on our team or negatively on our competition is up to everyone else, I'm (surprisingly) an optimist on these matters. Point is, I doubt he'll leave when our team is probably his best option in addition to the fact that he's working on his fourth straight finals appearance. NJHAWK
If we basically kept the same team and landed him we would be the best team in the east instantly, now would we be able to beat the Spurs or OKC Im not sure.Cap wise Im sure we would have to dump a few people to fit him in. Is Lebron a good enough shooter to play Buds system? I dont know, I think like the Al trade for #1 its just pipe dream talk but what else is there to do in early June. lol Myself I never want to see him in a Hawks jersey. Love to have us knock him out of the playoffs someday though. Edited June 7, 2014 by NJHAWK

Nope. If Lebron joining us means that we'd have a legit shot to win a NBA title, I'd welcome him with open arms. The history of the league shows that championships revolve around the greatest players in the game. To put in in perspective, Kobe, Lebron, and Duncan have won 11 of the last 14 NBA championships, with this year going to be number 12.
Moderators AHF Posted June 7, 2014 Moderators Report Share Posted June 7, 2014 Wade is averaging 18.7 ppg on .573 TS% along with 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 1.5 steals per game. 20.6 PER, .136 WS/48. Teague averaged 19.3 ppg on .523 TS% along with 5 assists, 4 rebounds and 1 steal per game. 17.2 PER, .095 WS/48. Looks like at best a wash between our best playoff performer and their "old man." Wade has been an excellent scorer this post-season. I think he is giving Lebron exactly the kind of supporting player role that he wants to see from his wingman. Bosh has been producing a 19.4 PER and .164 WS/48 in the playoffs. I don't see any reason for Lebron to leave Miami unless he thinks he is moving to a major upgrade. Atlanta won't fit that profile.
