Afro
So, the Hawks don't have any kind of Dleague affiliate? I see 18 Dleague teams and 20 affiliate NBA teams. My question is, how does one get a dleague affiliate team? Is that something we could ever acquire? And also, if we had a Dleague team could we stash guys down there if we wanted them to play "NBA" level talent instead of overseas? Guys like Tavares and potentially Patterson. Would we have to pay their salary or would the Dleague team handle that? Oh one more thing. Does the Dleague work like the Minor Leagues of baseball? Can we call them up during the season if we want to? I honestly have never paid any attention to the Dleague
ATLSmith
They were jointly affiliated with the Bakerfield Jam but looks like they are seeking a new affiliation for 2014. I'd like to think that Ferry's long term goal is to have a 1 to 1 affiliation with a d-leage team as part of the player development program he's trying to put in place. http://www.peachtreehoops.com/2014/5/9/5699284/nba-d-league-phoenix-suns-bakersfield-jam-atlanta-hawks
Gray Mule
No, it doesn't work like the baseball minor leagues work. It would be great if it did. Then it would be even more important that the Atlanta Hawks have their very own. Maybe, someday. But, not yet.
Wurider05
All of our d-league players are on the team already. We don't need an affiliate!!! LOL!
