JTB
What's the best record the hawks can achieve this season if Teague, Korver, Sap, Horford all play to their highest potential and stay healthy for the whole season? I'm going to say between 49-53 because we are in the eastern conference...your thoughts?

Gray Mule
Seems, by our own posters, 50 appears to be the norm. I'll go along with that - - 50 it is. Edited July 29, 2014 by Gray Mule
Guest
I said 51 in a previous thread, so I'll stick with that.
JETSET
I say 54. This is with also assuming that bazemore is successful in replacing lou wills role with the second unit while adding better defense and thabo shoots at least 38% from

Moderators PSSSHHHRRR87 Posted July 29, 2014 Moderators Report Share Posted July 29, 2014 Just 45?...huh ok anyone else? Although the East is the weaker conference, it's more balanced now that Lebron has gone back to Cleveland, Deng signed with Miami which keeps them competitive, Rose is back and Pau signed with Chicago, Stephenson left Indiana for Charlotte, Pierce to Washington, Toronto is the same team, New York has Phil Jackson controlling things now, Detroit picked up shooters, and although they are far from good now, Jabari is a Buck and Brooklyn is still a player. I even give Orlando a shot at a few upsets and 30 wins. The East is wide open for grabs, but everybody will be competitive and every win will have to be earned. No easy wins. We also have to play the Western conference 30 games. So ya, 45 wins.
buckeye242424
It's too hard to predict... Trades, injuries... I mean, how many more wins would we have if we didn't lose Horf?
coachx
82-0. Realistically, 45 wins. Thinking the same thing. 45 - 37 if we dodge major injuries.
HawkItus
56 wins. I say this because the team high is 57 wins. Is this the best team we have ever had? Not at all.
Premium Member Vol4ever Posted July 29, 2014 Premium Member Report Share Posted July 29, 2014 If everything stays as it is with players and no major injuries I say 45.
Premium Member Wretch Posted July 29, 2014 Premium Member Report Share Posted July 29, 2014 Gonna say around 45 wins and the east will be stronger than ppl think. I think our ceiling is 4th seed, but there won't be much difference between that and 6th.
Premium Member Vol4ever Posted July 29, 2014 Premium Member Report Share Posted July 29, 2014 We still dont have a go to player at the star level. Laugh if you want but Lou Williams could get his shot off against anyone and we are going to miss that. He hit some key shots for the hawks this past season and he missed alot too but he had the one on one talent to get his shot. Teague has the skill but wont use it, Sap has some. Everybody else is a jump shooter.

Everybody else is a jump shooter. The difference though is we have an offense designed to get people open shots. Whereas before we had a team full of jump shooters and hoped they could figure a way to get a shot off. Now we have sets that get them those shots. Of course it's up for debate if this is a theory that can get you a championship but at least it's fun to watch.
