I was reading in the AJC that Tavares is probably going back overseas. I don't understand how can a player become better in the NBA by staying in Europe. Shouldn't we develop this guy over here so he can learn the nba game. Or is it all about money?

It doesn't matter, Dan Ferry will trade him next year anyway.

You develop by playing - if he won't be playing games in the NBA next season better he stays overseas.

Muscala went overseas - looked better this SL.

There are quite a few players who stayed overseas then came over more NBA ready.

ride the bench or start overseas

Don't want to have him ride the bench and waste a year of his rookie contact. No need to rush, he isn't going to be a game changer this year.

He can play for free overseas. Well not for free but we won't have to pay him while he is overseas.

He might even be making more money overseas. As a 2nd round pick his NBA salary would be approx $800k or there about.

Anybody know his Euro deal?
