Atlanta Hawks Trios in All-Star Games

1970: Bill Bridges, Joe Caldwell, Lou Hudson

1980: John Drew, Fast Eddie Johnson, Dan Roundfield

2015*: Al Horford, Paul Millsap, Jeff Teague

(*potentially a Quartet)

Also when you consider the NBA had less teams those earlier years this is even more impressive - and still a shot to have four!

Is there any timeframe on hearing if Kyle "OTP" Korver (or whomever) makes it in as Wade`s replacement? Sounds like Wade`s recovery time might take him right up to the ASB, and don't they usually need to give the replacement a few days notice? Anyone know when Silver makes the decision, or is it just whenever?

I would think they have to confirm that Wade won't be participating first.  Then the Commish's office gets to make the call.  If Wade thinks he will be able to go, that could really delay things.  SI likes Korver as the replacement:

http://www.si.com/nba/2015/01/29/nba-all-star-game-snubs-damian-lillard-demarcus-cousins-kyle-korver

Kyle Korver, Hawks: There has been plenty of discussion recently about whether the Hawks would land three or four reserves on the East’s roster. SI.com’s East picks ultimately matched up seven-for-seven with the official selections, meaning Korver (13 PPG, 4.2 RPG, 2.9 APG) was left off in favor of Wade while Teague, Millsap and Horford all made the cut.

Korver’s candidacy is really, really unique: It’s not often that a shooting specialist who is fourth on his own team in scoring (taking just eight shots a night) is ever in the All-Star discussion. SI.com ultimately preferred Wade over Korver on the basis of their respective roles. While Korver had a strong case -- historic shooting numbers, Atlanta’s strong record, his excellent advanced statistics and impact numbers -- the degree to which his success was owed to his teammates was a stumbling block.

The “Wade vs. Korver” question could ultimately be headed for a clean compromise. If a strained hamstring forces Wade to miss out on the All-Star Weekend festivities, Korver would be the top pick as an injury replacement. He’s already slated to be in New York City for the Three-Point Shootout, so let’s go ahead and call this a no-brainer.

I want Korver more then anyone else on they roster ... I think he earned it as he is probably our most important player

However, I would not be surprised if Knight get named.  THe Bucks have played well, he has been their best player and Atlanta already have 3 players on the team.

I wouldn't be mad at Knight at all. The Bucks need some representation, they play hard evey night (having Kidd as a special consultant to our staff would be cool). But I think most coaches (or is it just Bud's decision?) would look at it as a well-deserved lifetime achievement award for Kyle while Knight definately needs to show another year or two. Agreed. Jason Kidd just rubs me the wrong way, but I guess I shouldn't hate on his players.

The commish picks the replacements.

.

I think having 3 guys already hurts Korver's chances.

I think Silver will pick Knight because ,right now fans in Milwaukee have little reason to watch allstar weekend

. Giving another market a reason to watch increases ratings.

I'm hoping he picks winning over business.

Most Bucks fans don't want Knight to be an all-star for contract reasons.

Here's a 4 minute video of Lillard crying about missing the all-star team.

I'm so appreciative of the guys that we have on this team.

Dame goes for the record of saying "I" the most times while explaining how unselfish you are ...

“I just felt disrespected,” Lillard said, “because I play the game the right way. I play unselfishly. I play for my team to win games and I produce at a high level. I think what I bring to the game as a person, my makeup mentally, how I am towards my teammates, how I am towards the media, how I am towards fans, I think what an All-Star represents in this league and what you would want people to look at as an All-Star, I think I makeup all those things.”

While playing the world's tiniest violin, Dame tells us there's no "I" in team but there sure is a "me".  Ok, relax, I know he has a right to be upset.  Still though, careful with all the complaining or he'll risk going from a really root-able guy to .... Kyme Irving or something.

SMH - I hope Teague is ready tonight.

Lillard will probably try to score 55 points like he just gave up to Kyrie.

He can score 60 if he wants, as long as we get the W I could care less.

Fun Fact.  Lillard has shot under 40% in 12 of his last 15 games.  2 of the 3 over 40% were against the Lakers.  I hope he comes out firing away with those shooting percentages.

Lillard has every right to complain. He got legit screwed. I've been saying it for years but they really need to increase the number of players on an All Star roster.

Or they can just pick the right guys.  Stackhouse said the 12-man roster is motivated by the owners assertions during the lockout that adding more spots = them having to pay more max deals to guys using all-star selections as justification.

Lillard should've been motivated enough to not give up a double-nickle to Kyme a few days ago.  Might've been the nail in his all-star snub coffin.

You add more players, there still will be somebody getting snubbed. Then the bench guys will get even less minutes.

The minute you add ASG appearances wether by voting or coaches selection as part of contract negotiations - somebody will always be salty.

I think Kyrie is missing out on $7-8 mil because he wasn't VOTED in.

12 guys is a joke. Someone on realgm said the All star roster is the same size it was back when there were only 10 teams in the league. I mean seriously 12 guys for an entire conference? That's just not enough spots.
