jmac54
Ya it was. He can go away now. Not worth the money considering his age. Good riddance
hawks774
One month ago, I might not have agreed with that sentiment. However, Millsap getting outplayed by Tristian Thompson was a red flag that the team should not give him max money. We should entertain a fair offer, but not break the bank.
Premium Member cam1218 Posted May 27, 2015 Premium Member Report Share Posted May 27, 2015 Yeah..I love 'Sap but if he isn't hitting shots he is getting manhandled when he drives inside. Not all his fault because he plays with Horf, but I'll take Al.
Popular Post devilwentdown2GA
He had a great season for us. Thanks for everything, Sap. That said, he'll be offered more that I want us to pay him. Hopefully we resign Carroll and add a C.
Alex
Appreciate everything Paul Millsap did in his two year stint here. He's a professional through and through.

ATLHawks3
As much as I don't want him to go, it looks like he may have to in order for us to address our size issue. Can't say that Millsap didn't bring it every day. He is a very intelligent and hardworking player that any team that he is willing to sign with will be lucky to have. Wish him the best of luck in the future.
bleachkit
That's what OKC fans were saying when they traded James Harden after he had an awful post season. Dont overact just because of a bad post season.
Spursfanpeacemaker
I think Hawks will keep the same group for next season, but obviously they need to add a big C for rebounds and rim protection. It's going to be really interesting what moves Hawks will make in the offseason.
RichardWinter
You're all crazy if you think Millsap is leaving. Bud is from Pops coaching school, you don't break up a team with no reason. Considering his cap hold is only $12m, the Hawks have around $9m to play with in free agency before resigning him to improve the team. Tiago Splitter (+ #26?) for #15. Helps both teams.
JETSET
Sorry to disappoint you supes. Millsap and teague will likely be back mext year and this team will be much better than the lineup you have been proposing.

atlhawks1
Sap wasnt the problem. He did a good job playing as a undersized power forward, paired WITH another undersized power forward, Horford. Dude just got wore down, thats all.

BigDog90
Unless the new Hawks ownership is cheap or wants to rebuild, they have no reason not to pay him the money he wants. Millsap played hurt. He's going to bounce back next season.
FastFreddie
Appreciate everything Paul Millsap did in his two year stint here. He's a professional through and through. Paul and DMC were the hardest working guys on this team. I really appreciated his play this season even if he struggled after his injury. If we didn't have Horford and were signing a center I'd liked to see him back.
