nitte
I hate this trade but I have faith in our management (well kind of). Of course if Oubre reaches his potential then it will look terrible.
yungsta
Mack will be gone.....Korver is 34 and currently in a walking boot, Thabo missed the playoffs all together. So what you're saying is we dont need a young SG that can score and be groomed by the coach of the year..... Wake up Hawks FAN! we need a multi dimensional SG who can defend, create his own shot, and play-make so some of the playmaking responsibilities isnt all on teague. If he cant do that at the very least he needs to be a 3 and D guy since this roster lacks two way players. THJ does none of that. NBASupes
He better pick waasayyyy up in his scoring efficiency if his one trick is scoring. At least his rookie season was ok shooting. Last year was a disaster. He needs to do better than ok when he can't board or play D. Agreed. He seemed to be getting better at rebounding in his last 15 games of the season by his gamelog. When I watch, I didn't notice him on the boards.
Afro
If a guy that shot 50% from the field couldnt see the court(Jenkins), why do we think Hardaway can? This feels like we traded our 1st for a 3rd string SG because his salary is cheaper than what we could sign a guy for on the open market.

We spent the 19th pick on a guy that does not improve the roster in the slightest. Thats honestly the simplest analysis I can give.

Afro
The 15th pick. Im trying to hold out some hope for the second rounders we picked up. But with our impending cap issues, the only thing they could turn into is a euro draft and stash guy that actually becomes something.....Which is a .00001% chance. Were not going to be wasting valuable cap in the future on second round picks. Which makes the 15-19 trade even worse. NBASupes
Then why was THJ taken so far behind Jenkins spot in what was a pretty shitty draft in itself(2013) Once again, Hardaway shown a legit NBA skill he can do on a high level regardless difficulty of the offense. Jenkins hasn't proven he can even shoot on a NBA level much less score.

Thats honestly the simplest analysis I can give. he doesnt provide ANY new skill set to this roster and he will never be a heavy min player on a winning team because he shown has no ability to defend anyone at a NBA level and his offense doesnt offset that since hes a inefficient volume scorer. Plainview1981
Did you really use this season to compare Jenkins and Hardaway? You don't think Jenkins can shoot 38% and score 8-11 PPG in 24MPG? Most SG's in the league could.

If he flops the hawks will trade him for a future 2nd round and then people will act like that deal is a success also.
