TheNorthCydeRises
Good trade, depending on what we gave up. Hawks now have the ability to keep a legit center on the floor at all times.
Premium Member Sothron Posted July 1, 2015 Premium Member Report Share Posted July 1, 2015 We already have Thabo that can't stay healthy. He now has company in Splitter. I still can't believe anyone thinks a barely above scrub level backup center is worth 9 million for the next two seasons.

The problem is that there is no money to get a 3 now.

With Tiago being overpaid and soon Millsap our Offseason is over and Our roster is covered with holes.
DJlaysitup
I am with Hotlanta on this. I hope our Bud sees Splitter as a 6th man rather than starter. Well "no-sh!t" man. Our returning 4 and 5 were in the all-star game...OF COURSE he is going to be a backup/rotational player. He is Pero's replacement

Plainview1981
Yeah because getting your leg broke by not playing basketball means u cant stay healthy.... He got hurt before that and had injury problems last year also. Moreover, he is getting older. Outside of that... They have Kent Bazemore and he sucks.
DJlaysitup
Find me the "holes" in this roster (10-deep): PG - all-star, Jeff Teague - backup - Dennis SG - all-star, Kyle Korver - backup - Tim Hardaway Jr. SF - Thabo Shef. - backup - Baze PF - all-star Paul Millsap - backup - other players as assigned depending on rotations C - all-star AL Horford - backup - Tiago Splitter and Mike "Moose" Muscala That's not even counting Mack who is a great emergency guard.

Premium Member Sothron Posted July 1, 2015 Premium Member Report Share Posted July 1, 2015 This is quite possibly the most absurd comment I have ever read ...overpaid? Seriously? A one notch above scrub level backup center that can't stay healthy is making around 9 million for two years. That is the very definition of overpaid. We wouldn't even keep Zaza around for what 5 million a year?
taz
He's not one notch above scrub bb you're way offbase and making your argument look silly and uninformed

SG/SF spots are a bunch of backups. Korver should be a 6th man.

SF is a big hole right now. Thabo is injured and not starter material. Baze doesn't have the size to play SF as well. Bad Wings, No backup Powerfoward. Bench unit has bad defense. Weak rebouding and rim protection.
