Like sitting there with the #15 pick some totally irrational people might be upset at a rumor would we deal the pick in an effort to land THJr.  The rumor could be said to meet your definition of a bad trade in the eyes of those totally irrational people.  Nevertheless, the rumor would be very good if the standard is not a valuation of the merits of the trade (at least in the eyes of that irrational jerk) but instead if the standard was the likelihood of that trade actually happening.  So sucky trades that our management might actually do qualify as bad news but good rumors.

I know what he was saying and I know this management group is in deep shit for that trade. Therefore they cannot f up this one. They must get back value or their asses is fired if a trade is made.

I'm not worried.  I'm pretty confident we'll see smoke but no fire at the deadline.

Millsap might be traded in a deal like Kevin Love or Blake Griffin. Honestly, I don't like either one but it's something. I think it makes the other teams better while giving us an #1 option.  It is something we need and Sap defense can be replaced to a degree if offense is added. It's not like he's Horf. That's a lot more difficult. Nonetheless, will we be better losing a two way player for a one way player is the question. 

Sap/Teague to Utah.  I'm convincing myself it's happening.

I would agree say it depends. Unless someone blows us away with an offer. It makes no sense to trade most of our pieces. Teague is the only one we could actually replace in house and if his replacement is terrible, we're f'd.

I'd be thrilled for somebody to take Splitter off of our hands, especially if we received a healthy C or SF. Between his play and health he has been a huge disappointment. I don't think Chicago would do this trade though.

Saw a Hawks fan on Twitter suggest that Myles Turner be a part of any Pacers' trade for Jeff Teague.  Smh.  If a deal does get done, I think some Hawks will be livid as they really overvalue the players.

I think a better way to say that (compared to the twitter fan you describe) would be to say that if they don't also give us Turner then there's no reason for us to trade for Hill.  IOW, we don't have to deal anything but if they're gonna give us a prospect like that too, then it's worth it.  I don't think that's overvaluing per se.

I wouldn't trade Teague for Hill and yeah if they offered Turner, I'd be all over that.  But if the shoe was on the other foot, no way would I trade Turner for Teague.
