You know he still has talent, but he is becoming a head case and he is probably ever so slightly on the other side of the hill that he is looking straight down. I disagree...we are judging a player by ball dominating harden. What Howard found out is that his offense isn't good enough to be a second option. When he argued with Stan Van Gundy for more touches back in Orlando...he now realizes why he wasn't getting them. The guy made his name by defense and rebound and getting easy points in the paint or by over powering opponents. None of that has Changed...he's just not as athletic as he once was but he can still protect the rim, grab boards, and get easy putbacks...just won't look as flashy as back in the day but the job can still be done on the right team.

RWF
Could we do Horford and Korver for Blake? Then trade Teague for a young player or pick. Take a hit on the season to get a better draft pick. Schröder/Blake/draft/whatever from Teague is a good start to lure FAs.
GameTime
Quote One league exec claimed the Hawks “are going to break up that team,” so Teague, Kyle Korver and Al Horford have been mentioned as candidates to move. Korver may entice the Cavs (3), while Boston could be looking at Horford or Houston’s Dwight Howard (4). http://nypost.com/2016/02/15/five-nba-trade-rumors-making-the-rounds-at-all-star/

Hawkmoor
49 minutes ago, JTB said: When we get eaten up again in the playoffs assuming we don't make a trade EVERYONE will realize this. If horford was bigger I of course would be against any of this cause then he would more than likely grab more boards and be able to keep bigger centers from scoring on him BUT Hawks fans got to realize horford can't do anything about his playing weight, or his height, or his wing span. The guy is good but when you ask him to defend much bigger guys we will continue to lose. We are asking Horford to box out mosgov people! Is mosgov better than horford ? Of course not but if mosgov can out muscle horford and he can which don't mean he's better...that's allowing mosgov to be a greater impact than horford. You know why? Because that offense rebound he grabs is giving his team mate lebron James who's the best player in the world a 2nd chance to score. Man there were plenty of times we stopped lebron in the ECF...he didn't have a great shooting percentage but if Mosgov and Tritian just have to play "Dennis Rodman role" for lebron and his other two stars we are always going to lose!...hell last year it was lebron alone. What's going to happen when that big 3 get second chance opportunities? You are talking blowouts like the magic did Atlanta some years back! We were getting our asses beat by 25 plus in all those games ...then no stats Collins big ass saved the day the next year! His size help bother Howard and others even though Howard was dropping 30 plus every game. Lol point is we need a bigger center. It's not always about skills...it's about match ups and horford don't matchup well against players bigger than him no matter if he's more talented than them or not! Once we realize that then maybe we can win a damn ring around here. By the way it's just the rebounds that hurt us it's really the fact that we miss shots too but my problem with that is that bud is asking our guys to be perfect and make every open shot and that's just not going to happen. We need to give our guys second chance opportunities or for it to atleast be an option...bud needs that guy he can say " hey we are in a offensive slump , let's focus on grabbing a few offensive boards so we don't pin ourselves in a deep hole...and have to make some drastic come back!" Again, spot on. Thats ANOTHER good point you made about Collins. People were shocked by the SIMPLE fact that you put beef on beef. This current Hawks team is built no different than the Billy Knight crews. The ONLY difference is they have a true point guard and a better offensive system. Other than that, Horford has ALWAYS been part of the solution AND problem. The Hawks have been trying to force this 5 WING attack on the league for years. Different coach, front office, SAME philosophy. Thats why i chuckle every time i see a " Hawks need a small forward" post. Heck, they got 10 forwards and 2 point guards on their 12 deep roster........... Teague and Dennis are the only TRUE guards on the team, everybody else is a forward. Lastly, again, rebounds are POSSESSIONS. This stuff is simple. If you cant rebound, you better be shooting 40 percent or better from the field......
GameTime
Quote The youth-laden Magic have made it known they are in the market for veterans as they continue to slide out of playoff contention. Sources say Orlando has been willing to discuss the prospect of moving some of its more familiar names, including former No. 2 overall pick Victor Oladipo and the recently re-signed Tobias Harris. The Magic are likewise among the teams that have chased Hawks point guard Jeff Teague. Jeff Teague for Dipo and Tobias?
NBASupes
Collins? We really naming players who sucked who we had to have due to our lack of size to defend a player who was a superstar. There is no center in the NBA today who is good as that Orlando's Dwight Howard. No one even close and that includes modern day Howard. Even Orlando fans don't want Dwight no more. Edited February 15, 2016 by NBASupes

Popular Post Admin
Have you guys seen D12 play this year? When he's rolling off of a pick he's damn near unstoppable. But the Rockets are morons who refuse to use him properly. I'm not crazy about trading for him because he's not going to resign here anyway but if we can get Winslow in the deal then it's basically Teague for Winslow and that's not a bad deal for us. We aren't winning it all this year so at least we'd have a half season to see Dwight in this system and it might work so well he wants to continue playing in it. Worst case he sells a lot of tickets. Twinblade
Why would Hawks even think about trading for Howard? Dude didn't want to play here, but all of the sudden he does now? I wouldn't trust him, hawks can trade for him and Howard still walks, leaving hawks with nothing.
